Stopcock location Jardines 1st floor apartment

just found out through a friend that we have no running water in our apartment. Phoned Urbaser and they said everything is ok with the payments. They suggested to check the stopcock.

problem is that Urbaser will only speak Spanish and had some trouble to find out the location of the stopcock.

I don't know why it would have been touched as we certainly haven't, but before we insist on an engineer we better have it checked out

Can anybody tell me where to look for the stopcock and if there is also a stopcock outside.

Any help appreciated

You can check the water is on by opening the white cupboard on your back wall of your your terrace (ground floor level) the locked one is elec & the other is the water, it has 2 valves and if they are pointing along the pipe it is on, also the cupboard will be labelled on the outside with your plot number.

We had the same problem when we arrived late on 21 April.

We checked as posted below and everything was the same as the other 3 apartmentson the same loop but they had water and we did not.

The next morning we reported to Polaris.  The foreman came out.  I showed him that all connections were on in and out of the apartment.  He disappeared out the front for a moment and water flowed.  I know they had been working at our apartment and suspect that Polaris turned the water off at a stopcock in front of our apartment.

I was surprised it had not been noticed on the weekly check.

thanks Joe, was the problem the stopcockoutside you reckon? Polaris is not so helpfull on the phone.. keep saying it is urbaser. Problem with Ubaser is that none of the staff speak english.. my spanish is not too bad but explaining about water and so can be tricky over the phone..

you can't assume as Dan said, that the water cupboard is unlocked. Our water cupboard in Jardin 5 has been locked ever since Urbaser started charging us, we have no access to it and can't read the meter as it is a windowless cupboard.

Was the outside stopcock indeed.. Why the heck the don't tell people that they closed the valve..
