Golf course update

Called into Sales office when I was out at Condado and was told that it is still to open on 28th November with 18 holes and range.

The parts of the course which look a bit like a desert are to be grassed with different grass to the fairways which can be watered with a mixture of salt and non salt water. 

When we mentioned that not much work appeared to be going on with the course we were advised that they are waiting for the rain to come later this month which is better for planting.

I also asked about the grassed areas on the road side which look a bit burnt at the moment and we were again advised that this will be addressed once the rains start

We shall wait and see.

that's great news - but looks like I'll miss the opening by a week. Nevermind I'll just have to set the course record next time I'm out ! I hope the pro shop stocks lots of reasonably priced bottles of water and twixes ! (oh and golf balls to replace the ones I'll no doubt put in the lakes).

I take it the date has been put back then, we where over beginning of last week and where told by the sales office 15th November for opening. 

Bear in mind this is the spanish "November" which so far from my experience will mean November, december or January.

I have now taken to working in year quarters instead of months, save a lot of disappointment!!

I have to agree, however i am happy for them to take there time with the course and open it when its fully ready and the course is fit to play - there is still quite alot of bald areas round the course and some bunkers are still not playable yet.  plus there is a small water hazard thats got no water in it at the moment :-)

We have just come back on Monday from Condado, we were also told that the golf course will also be opened in November with a temporary club house in Al Kazar next to the supermarket.  The first tee will now be the original 13th and the 12th will be the 18th.  On a positive note the course is looking really good and doesn't look too far away. 

We were also told that they will start to build the club house in 6 months time and it  will take approx 18 mths to build, which will be 2 years.  This is dissapointing to us as when we bought off plan we choose our property behind the original first tee next to the club house, and we feel to wait another 2 years for the club house to be built and hopefully the first tee to go back to its original position is a long time to wait bearing in mind that Polaris built approx 3000 apartments in 18th months!.  We know there is a recession and Polaris are struggling just like other developers, but we have all been hit by the recession.

All we want is what we were promised 2 1/2 years ago when we but down our deposit.

I'm grateful for the information about the club house and the temporary alterations to the plans. I suppose it makes sense to use Al Kasar as its up and running and would also bring further 'life; to that huge space.

As for PW supplying what they promised Dave and Carol- you are right that its disappointing however PW have the 'off plan' rule on their side and could alter anything that was on offer 2 years ago. They may well work ahead of their schedule as they have done with their other buildings. A family member had a disappointement with the Golf Suites in as much as PW's attitude was that you either take your deposit onto another key ready property or sit and wait until they start the Golf Suites and nothing would shift them. So I feel that provided what they build is as good as their other clubhouses it should be worth waiting for. My in laws originally put a deposit on a poolside apartment in a Jardin near the location of the original Foro- their disappointment was great when their pool was removed and then the Foro was moved. Eventually they swopped to another Jardin- like you they felt they hadnt got what they bought into- however, now are really happy with CdA and all its potential- but see themselves buying bikes for the trip to Al Kasar for the papers!

Just been informed by a greenkeeper that Condado De Alhama's first Golf course will open to the Public on November 15th this year.

Proffesionals will try it from the 9th November.
