Has anyone had any problems with their 'loyalty bonus' ?  We had notification that our 'habitation licence' was in place early in July.  We were hoping to complete the first week in October which as far as we were concerned was within the 3 months.  We were then told that because our 'habitation licence'  was in place in June, we had to complete by the end of September.  We were advised that they are being very strict with regards to this, we have also been told that others are in the same position as us.

Yes we were made aware that the loyality bonus expired at the end of September for the early phases

Did you confirm a completion date with Corvera or have you completed considering it is now early October now

Hi Roy ,

You got to be kiidding me ,'

Corvera are asking about LOYALITY BONUS ,  after 4 years of delays , a Client is 1 month late and they cancel it !!!

Great company them, just abut sums them up, its a joke if it wern"t so serious

Just my humble veiw , but not a way  I think to endear oneself to your customers ?

I have a letter from them , the 1st two lines go like this :--

On behalf of Corvera Golf and Country Club . I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your faith in our Resort and to congratulate you on your purchase

THE LETTER IS DATED 4TH OF MAY 2006

Perhaps I should ask them to DOUBLE the Bonus, even go back on a pro-rata system ( over 2 years late), they would infact then pay me to take the Apartment

A sad state of affairs

While its not your thought  ,you are just the messenger

Its the guys that have perhaps bought and circumstances have now changed that I feel sorry about

Incredible customer service

Regards

Sorry but I just answered the question as this was clearly being used to persuade people to complete pure and simply along with a package where they waved the community fees and tings like the free golf etc

I only know that it had ended because i was in their offices when people were being told this on the phone plus people that i know complete were using the money for white goods and shower cubicals

It is also based on each phase so I am asuming that people that are about to complete on Mentas will also get this so agian just trying to help with information

I completed on 21st September.

Corvera's furniture package was not ready to be quoted to buyers at that precise time although a show villa was there to be viewed....

I am sure that loyalty bonus in in situ and can be used against their package or white goods etc. etc.

Rgds.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade regarding the Loyalty Bous but  we completed 5 weeks ago and got the loyalty bonus but there seems to be a delay with the white goods etc that we ordered. I have heard every excuse in the book, from delays with suppliers, utilities not connected, documents not in order .......

We did what we had to do ie signed and completed, in good faith and nothing has happened since. I am going down to Murcia in the next fortnight and hopefully snagging will be done and extras will be in place as I do not want to believe that they took our money and now don't want to know but that is how it appears at the moment. I have a property in Roda and did not experience anything like this but sadly the experience in Corvera has not been a good one so far. We can stay in our property in Roda but despite paying in September we could not stay in our Corvera property at the moment due to the poor follow up service.

I am grateful that I have not ordered any furniture yet as it would be sitting in a warehouse waiting for Corvera to get their house in order. I will write again if there is any change and if anyone has received their loyalty bonus purchases can you please let me know as it would be quite concerning if everyone is experiencing the same delays.

Don

Hi Don,

This forum is to discuss our experiences and I am glad that you have shared your views.

Now, I believe that IF you had ordered the complete package from Calidona, there would have been no delays!!!!!!!!!

They are most probably marking up on the whole package to cover their deficit (loyality bonus) but unable to recover with whitgoods order only. I am alarmed and thanks for this info.

Back to the drawing board......................

Rav.

Just so people know the legal reguations are that the builder has 30 working days in which to complete the snagging repairs , in effect 6 -7 weeks

Yes we have also noticed some recent delays in getting the white goods but more particuarly the gas fitted and the boilers commissioned and for most people it seems to be taking 8 - 9 weeks to resolve snagging and get places cleaned and furnished

I know that this is not what people want to haer but again it is the truth of the situation and too many people arrive and find that they don´t have things like hot water etc

Out of interest I just contacted Rosa on site to find out how our utilities connections and white goods installations are progressing.  I e-mailed Rosa on 8 October with these two requests and she has just replied that all our connections are on and our white goods are being installed on 28 October.  Hope this helps.

Hi all,

I completed in July/ August and used my Loyalty Bonus for white goods, bathroom screens,  etc, I experienced no delays and am happy enough with what I got in terms of fair value.

Just a warning there re your utilities - I have been charged a 'connection fee' of around E290 by Virtus Energia (gas company), I expected a small connection charge OK, but didn't expect it to be that high. I have since been billed around E6 for gas usage (though I am not sure what period this bill covers).

Rgds,

Ian

Hi Moll,

I found the Corvera package far too expensive, and reckoned they were only using it (a) to make more money out of you (b) so that when they went to rent it out for you later, they would have funding in advance to cover their cleaning charges etc

We got a list from Corvera of the component parts of the furniture pack, and then picked items from that up to the value of the Loyalty Bonus. As I said, we'd be happy enough with how it worked out.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone who did get the full Corvera furniture pack does not get charged the gas connection fee, as this was not mentioned as part of the pack we were offered?

Rgds,

I.

I am still considering if I should take Calidona's package.

2 bed villa furniture package is 18451 + VAT and If 2 bed apartment package was to be used instead, it's 12931 + VAT.

Seems expensive but I shall be VERY grateful if someone could point me into the right direction.

£-Euro rate is strangling my spending power!!!!!!!

Regards.

Rav

Hi Rav/ Moll,

As I said, we used the Loyalty Bonus to get the white goods, bathroom screen, shower pan extension and cubicle, bathroom fittings, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine etc.

We then looked around a bit, including checking out DFS and Murcia Furniture and we ended up getting the rest of our furniture from FCE (www fcespain com - they are in Almoradi which is not far from Alicante). We dealt with a guy there called Nick who has been very helpful and the furniture is good quality. In our case we needed good durable furniture as we hope to rent as much as we can as we won't be able to be out there ourselves as much as we'd like to be. If it were only for our own use then we might have put more 'luxurious' stuff in it I suppose!

To state the obvious it all depends on what you intend to use the apartment for, and then what budget you have to work with.

I also suggest you check out Roy's 'smartshopspain' service if you were looking to rent your place out and wanted to get low priced furniture and were willing to use top-condition second hand goods.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

I.

p.s. Moll, up Wexford! Used to live in Enniscorthy myself - small world eh? Please, whats a 'lifestyler' eh? Is that someone who is going to move out there soon for the 'lifestyle'? If so, good for you!

I also bought my suites and some beds and other furniture from fce, who were excellent. Recommended by Roy and very helpful regarding any changes or anything you are not happy about too.

I also bought some furniture from New2You via Roy and orrain and bought really good ex-display beds and bedside cabinets which cost next to nothing. Also very helpful for keeping the costs down.

For Bedding we could not beat The Bedding Box in Torrevieja, lots of British bedding and no problems changing anything, I overordered and prices ar similar to the markets, the peace of mind is great just if you need to exchange anything. The staff are also very helpful, when you are in there with any queries if you explain what you are looking for or are not too sure.
