Has anyone been using mobile phones from 3 whilst at CdA or in Murcia. We've a dongle from 3 and wondered if it would work as a very temporary measure whilst we are over at half term and get the modem situation resolved. We have checked roaming rates but forgot to check coverage

Jan if you intend to use your dongle for internet DONT. You will be charged a roaming rate which is expensive. The dongle is for U.K. only. Been there done it got the t shirt.

Have made some enquiries- might cost as much as £25.00 for us to use for a week- but thats a maybe and a one off. Apparently 20mb usage would be £25
Going to be looking at other options whilst at CdA

Hi Jann,
I am on "3" an hubby is with O2 both are Irish phones and we have used them while on CDA. The last time we were out there my phone didnt work for the whole stay but I dont think that was to do with 3 as a few other ppl on CDA were having problems with theirs as well due to a problem with the coverage in general.
Hope yours works ok for you when you are over.

Hi Jann
My Mum lives on CDA and she uses a dongle for tempory use. You may have bad coverage as the signals sometimes get scrambled. It is not just english networks as my mum has two spanish networks and it can be hard to get a signal .. The connections come and go.
