Just had a look at nicklausgolftrail.es and it seems to be that one course membership for 2010 is available at the advertised rates (see photo section). This is a bonus.

I reckon 1. November to 31. December has to be the sales period for this offer, the membership is for 2010.

But can someone please explain the meaning of this benefit: "The resident´s tariff will be applied to all services contracted by all the member´s companions playing the same round".

Will all my companions playing the same round (let´s say I book a four-ball) pay the discounted green fee of 7 euros if I have paid for Annual Membership?

On nicklausgolftrail.es the benefit I mentioned in my previous post is changed to: "Players accompanying the member will enjoy the residents rate for services contracted"

That clearly states that any playing partner also will pay a green fee of just 7 euros if joined by a member, doesn´t it?

I don't think so somehow. Only paid up indvidual members will pay the 4.5/9 euro charge all other players will have to pay the rate according to their status i.e. discount member card rate, normal rack rate etc.

Thats the way i see it.

If you joined up and paid 1200 euros then managed to play once a week over 40 weeks then it would work out at 39 euros a round but how many of us who don't reside out their are going to be able to do that??

Needs some thought, it looks like the discount card depending on rack rate is the way forward to me.

I am reading it right that residents rate is only 200 EUR cheaper than the public rate with all the same benifits?

Don't get me wrong not a bad rate for someone who plays most days but just a 200 EUR discount for owners seems a bit of a kick in the nasties?

I think that every partner has to pay green fee like Jay say.

But they will get  like free manual trolleys and that kind of services.

There would be little sence in having a Family menbership if partners would get away with €7.

You are right. Here is the answer from NGT/PW:

"The people who play with an annual member (maximum 3) can get residents rates (55 euros for 18 holes and 40 euros for 9 holes). The GF of 7 euro is just for the member."

I mailed the Golf shop about dates of Annual Membership, is it 1st Jan - 231st Dec etc and here is reply

The driving range is situated directly in front of penthouses 1 to 7, and is quite impressing. As far as I know, it will open when the course opens around December 15th.

Hi all

Just been on course watching 28 golf club pros from Germany (some English) and they looked to be finding course rather tough!

Bay markers out on practice area, putting rubbish bins out and golf ball collector has been out (see photo).

Toilet block/office coming on well working weekend.

Clubhouse looks better - painted walls now, aircon fitted, needs all electrics connecting. No work progressed on changing rooms however.

Possible it could be ready in 2 weeks if they pull their finger out.

Just  back from Condado. Course is looking great, but as usual no positive details from P.W.  800 single or 1600 euros for family is not bad value, but 7 euro everytime you play is a bit much. If any body both male and female is interested in forming a golf society so that we can play some kind of competition amongst ourselves. Being a group we might have greater power with PW.

We to have just returned back from CDA after a lovely very sunny weekend celebrating Lisa's birthday. The course was buzzing with activity, with all the European club/teaching pro's testing it out and the Lady Pro's preparing for their tournament that starts tomorrow. The practice facllities are fantastic and the fairways, bunkers tees and greens are something to behold.

Yesterday morning we watched four teaching pro's tee off (yellows)  on the daunting par 5 4th hole with two of em sticking it straight in the left side bunker. How we laughed!!! (don't think i'll be laughing so much when i do it).  I found my first Pro V 1 in some rough definitely not the last one i bet!

On the pricing and having looked on the Nicklaus trail site and in the PW discount card info it's not clear if we would get the discount card rate (20%off) of the rack rate or the resident rate. Has anyone got a definitive answer. Polaris definitive........am i being mad??

maybe the ladies will get lucky if Tiger comes over to 'play around' , sorry a round (would you though ???)
