Arrived back from Spain last night.
Weather was fantastic, was up to 26 degrees yesterday, bit chilly in evenings and first thing though.
Tried out the restaurant, I can honestly say the food and service were execellent. A fairly wide range of choice and i didn't think the prices were too excessive for the standard. I just had a main course that was 10 euros and the bottle of wine we had was 8 euros. For a 5 star resort it was very reasonable. We were in there Monday evening and although the resort was quiet the whole time we were there it was quite busy. Recommended.
Now the golf course......it is stunning. No other word for it. There is evidence of landscaping beginning especially round the opening holes, the toilet blocks are up and being connected.
The Hi5 golf tour had its tournament start yesterday (Tuesday) with around 60 Pro's playing watched them for around 2 hours and got chance to chat to them as well. Their verdict? Course is superb, tough but the best for sopme considerable distance around. They have played Riquelme in the last week and although they enjoyed it ours isand i quote "different league". They were a bit disappointed that no clubhouse and toilets were available for them but all in all well pleased. After pressganging Polaris staff about an opening date for us and getting nowhere the tournament organisers finnal let slip to me that they had been told general play would commence on Jan 1st so sorry if you going over in december. If you want to check out the scoring try the Hi5 website and hit scores ( i googled Hi5 golf). I can tel you that a pro from Finland set a course record yesterday with a 61 (not off back tips) he had an albatross, an eagle and 6 birdies!!!!!!!
Anyway all is good. can't wait to go back.
Cheers
