Great idea Dave.
My clubs are in the wardrobe of the apartment desperate for their first outing at Condado. Out 5th Feb for 3 days and then again in the summer.
If they have Sky in the Clover maybe we could meet up on a footie night? Golf/footie/beer what more could you want?

If we can get enough interest then we can form a condado society and maybe suggest play the first saturday or sunday of each month.
if we get enough interest as a society i can then barter with polaris for reduced green fees.i have already met the golf manager and he is very pro active and with the recession and spanish courses being so empty we have a great chance.also we can then play other courses such as hacienda del alamo where i have now got us a concession at 41 euros.sensol(camposol) will be even cheaper.(meeting them next week).maybe we can play the other courses on the 3rd sat/sun monthy intermittently with condado .then that will give us 24 games per annum.
all we require is a list of dates and a list of numbers.i can then make up a wall chart list in the clover and people who dont have internet access or dont read theses pages can then add their names and contact details.
all we need now is someone to print the t shirts!
i have a spare old set of king cobra 2 irons which i can lend to anyone for free -sandwedge to 3 iron and a putter but no drivers-ideal for non or part time golfers who just want to enjoy a good walk spoiled!
im sure arranging the after match meals drinks and prize giving will be easy.

Hello all golfer's
I live out in Spain and it would be nice to set up a golf society here on Condada to play on a set day every week.
I would be willing to help set this up and get it up and running
Regards
Paul

Hi Dave,
Good idea to actually give a date for a meeting. As a matter of information do you think you could contact someone in the Mar Manor golf society just to see if PW are giving them any deal regarding green fees. I was in Mar Manor golf shop last year and saw a timesheet for an outing they were having in El. Valle. Sorry , should have taken a name and phone number of a contact for the society but Im afraid I forgot. Maybe the golf shop would give you a name and number. See you on the 20th.
Fred

Wasn't sure which of the golf threads to ask this question but this one seemed most likely to have people in the know - is there an option for 9 holes at any time but particularly twilight session? Husband played last week and we're back briefly early Feb, but he didnt see any info about 9 holes.

Sorry if there has been a misunderstanding, some people have asked if this meeting is a "one off".
It is intended that these get togethers will be every Wednesday @ 7.00pm in the Clover for as long as can be maintained.
This will give others not available for first meeting the chanc to attend later on and get to know other golfers, it also means that renters / rentees have a means of promoting golf.
I have asked CDA Golf Shop if they wish to attend first meeting to promote any deals.
Dave.

Hi
I've been having a think about this
Can I suggest a large A4 Hardback Diary is held in the Clover behind the bar. People can either add details for when they would like to play or refer to details of people in a similar situation. Contact details could be held in the book also
Only a suggestion which may need a little work
Graham

Hi Dave
Sorry I cant make the first couple of meetings we dont arrive until Thursday 28th. Just a couple of things to bear in mind about meeting on Wednesdays, when we were over in December there was a band playing in the Clover on a Wednesday night, not sure if they are still playing now, also would this give you enough time to arrange a game for Saturdays bearning in mind a lot of owners fly our for long weekends. Well done for thinking of this idea. Im sure alot of us golfers are looking forward to 2010 playing on Condado.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Davell
Just a line to say good luck with this, good idea.
Hope you do get a few ladies interested, I have not had too much luck so far finding them. I noticed quite a few on the course over new year and think some were British. Hopefully word will get out about this and you'll get some come forward ( All Nationalities). Jill CDA, Lesley Ptan and Deb Skell (Great caddy) will have to get a move on with the lessons.
Now that I've played it twice, once off the reds and once off the blues, I don't find it quite as frightening as I expected it to be. 34 points first time out off the reds, but didn't find it challenging enough so tried the blues next time. Didn't do so good but improved on 3 from first time. I am 29 handicap at the moment, so have a few strokes in hand for when things go wrong. Intend to come down to at least 25 this year.
Thanks to Martyn and Skell for letting me thrash em first time out.
June

Hi there.
What are the charges to play when you just turn up at the Course? There are a acouple of websites offering a round for 59 euros - is that a discount on the official price?
thanks

Hi
I'm going out this weekend and would be up for a game on Sat, Sun or early Monday?
I'm going with my better half but she'd rather shave her eyeballs than sit in a buggy watching me for four hours!
Anyone around ?
