Bathroom ceiling mould

Just been to our ground floor apartment after a few months away & found lots of mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, which was easily wiped away. We have an extractor already fitted which is on everytime the light is on, but it doesnt look as though it has helped. Any ideas how to prevent this going forward?

It maybe worth trying to contact the owners of the appartment above, to check that this is not due to rain comming in through the roof solarium or the stairs leading to the solarium.

Another thing to check, is that there are no slow leaks from the pipe work in the appartment above.

As this is a common problem with a few of the top floor appartments, mine included and I live on Naranjos 2.

Do you have water marks on the plaster, if you do it would mean a leak from above, if it is black mould that wipes away that is condensation, remember with electric extractor fans, these are only any good when they are on, if they are not used you are obstructing the air flow up the natural chimney/air vent, this is the problem when apts are left for a number of months

No water marks, just dark green mould patches on the ceiling. No evidence that I could see of a leak anywhere. Managed to find a humidifier that uses crystals in a supermarket, so hoping that will help.
