I must admit some of the rules stand one day then go the next day. I Persoanlly where the full golfing attire for the range as its what i am used to when i was playing for a club back in england, But i dont see why you cant wear trainers on the range, i can understand on the putting greens.
It seems to me polaris staff just pass the book, i mean 2 weeks ago i went up for my daily Prcatice at 5pm and they said "sorry cant use the driving range we are closed" i was like why he said because there is a tournament on i was like well they are on the course and due to finish anytime soon no one is using it. and the staff members then said "well i have turned the machine off anyway so you will have to come back tomorrow" i think that is a little annoying especially when there are no notices up stating when a tournament is being played you cannot use the driving range.
Anyways that my grumble over

Just returned from Condado and word is that they are starting on some form of clubhouse this month.
Went to the range last night and workmen were digging trenches in the position we had previously been told would be the clubhouse, so keep fingers crossed!!!
Twilight round at €30 inc trolley is still on from 3pm but have been told by the marshall that they are changing it to 5pm soon.
As the course closes at 8pm there is no way of getting a full 18 in on the twilight if they do change it.

Twighlight - 5 p.m. Another one of PW's mad-cap ideas to discourage people spending money at Condado then !! Hopefully it is just a rumour .
Read a note on Simply networking regarding the Camposol golf society. They have negotiated a price at Haciende del Alamo for 35 euro's. I know who will not be getting my green fees at the moment.
Can't imagine the clubhouse starting in the present circumstances, but with PW it is always wise to expect the unexpected.
Regards,

I believe the trenches are for the electric cable for the course, which means that at laste we will get rid of the generator. Would of been if it was the start of the club house though :-(

i will join you at hacienda, you know me positive till the last, but that course is shocking mate, played on sunday and houghton le spring municipal is tidier than that, greens are great but,: here we go, parched fairways, no distinctive lines between rough and "fairway", very untidy shrub land , they should be lined up like soldiers, they look like a drunken iraqi soldier has planted them, rough is very patchy, no descent pathways, all man made? very very disappointed,
however the practice area is cracking, and i spent some nice hours on there, they will have to stop people putting on the chipping green though, the putting green is better to putt on anyway?? but can be a bit dangerous with my skulling
cheers a "positive" ant

Ant,
Were the greens any good then ?? At least you would have had a lovely club house to sit on the balcony of with a cold beer afterwards and look out over the parts of the course that possibly were still aesthetically pleasing. Alternative..................Al Kasar square with no bloody cushions on the outdoor seats. This is the type of thing that riles me. You are supposed to make the best of your circumstances, not just don't give a ****.
You know I don't have any issues with our course at CDA. Ab Fab layout & greens. It's just what's off it that niggles me. It narks the hell out of me when I hear of PW (if true) pulling a stunt like putting the twighlight back to 5 pm. it is just going to discourage trade. CDA is not worth 65 euro's right now. They need to look around and see how others are giving deals that will encourage societies and the likes to come and spend money here. We want the bloody place to stay open ! The resident alone are not going to generate enough volume of buisness to make CDA a viable proposition.
Regards,

greens were ok, but still needed a little water, i like fast greens but you coulndt stop a 150 yarder on them, like menor or raquelme,
it was the totally unasthetic look it had, compared to when i walked it in november, no care or attention, not trim or aything no lines in the fairways, the fairways were ok to hit the ball off, (nice bounce/divot) just very dry.
definately set out for buggy only use, no walkways from tee to green, leaving messy unkemp man made paths over the shrubs,
sorry for the negative post but not up to scratch,
ant
PS, i only got 22 points in a very strong windso it is quite tough

Hi Ant, back home now, cheers for the game, was a good laugh & really enjoyed it.
Agree with comments about the course it has so much potential and some holes in isolation are stunning but the surrounding areas are appalling and let the whole course down I'm affraid, hopefully this will get sorted and we will have one cracking golf course.
See you in August for a rematch and hope you emptied all that sand out ya shoes
COME ON YOU SPURS
