twlight golf society

Hi all,

I was wondering if any residance would be interested in forming a twlight golf society.  This is nothing against the current society who are doing a great job. All this is for people who think prices are to high and still would like to play some form of competitive golf. If I get enough replies, I will then contact  the golf shop and try and negotiate a good price. I will be out early Sept. and if possible start then.

Hi there is currently a 30 Euro Twilight offer from Olagolf on Condado applicable to tee times after 3:00 p.m.

I think having a twilight group would be a good idea as some people would be looking for cheaper green fees or like playing later.  But maybe doing it as part of the existing golf society would make sense rather than a 2nd society.

It  is a good idea to form a group to play twilight where it is cheaper but when there are no permanent residents involved it will be difficult to run.

Myself and Graham White run the society but as the residents here are all members of Condado we have no benefit from playing later. We do not charge membership and accept entries from anyone and have already had 190 DIFFERENT players join us in the 4 months it has been running.

We have booked a block of times from now until the end of September teeing off at 9 - 9.30. We do this to avoid the afternoon heat which  is unbearable in July and August.when it has reached 45 degrees.

We have got the society rate down to 40E for the summer so for the extra 10E I think you will enjoy your golf more in the morning and not fry!

However it is a thankless task with players booking and not arriving and is difficult to manage when the organiser is in the UK.
