I've not heard of a restaurant so maybe residents/more regular visitors will know more but isnt there a Fred Elliots Butchers close to the port at Mazarron. I'm sure its on the same strip as Plumas 4 Furniture (or similar title)

Elliots Number is 968 158 499 booking advised especially for Sunday Lunch.

Fred Elliot has the English Butchers in Puerto Mazarron (opposite Lidl) He also has the Elliots Restuarant in Bolnuevo on main road opposite Uppers.

It is an English Restuarant, Sunday Luches very good three course 10€

Jan- Fred Elliot was a long time character in Coronation Street and he was a butcher.

I have just heard the owner passed away in May so not sure what is going on

I also heard that the owner had died a while ago. Do nor know  if the businesses have continued .

There is a Fred Elliott butchers at the pyramid centre ( where Mercadona is) maybe someone has noticed if it is still operating.

 The restaurant is still open - went for Sunday lunch yesterday. would advise to book at they were turning people away.

Is this butchers on the same side opposite Lidls or on the opposite side across the dual carriageway  as I have never seen it and shop regularly at the port, but to be honest haven't  not been looking and does it do all the regularl cuts??

We were out last week and the butchers had a for sale sign in the window.

Yes - unfortunately Fred did pass away suddenly whilst in the shop a few weeks back.  The shop has been closed ever since and is now up for sale.  Not sure about Elliotts Restaurante in Bolnuevo though - same family business but obviously run by someone otherthan Fred himself.

p.s.  if anyone is interested in finding an English butcher there is one on Sector A commercial centre at Camposol on the top road just along from the ferriteria.  He also has a small stock of veg - just had some Jersey Royals from there and whilst a little pricey they were delicious.
