i would be asking for builders number and when will it would be finished - or when they are starting work

tell them that you have sold up in uk and was planning to live at amarion 111 and now you have to pay rent to somebody

(are you going to get compensated for this rent)

hi mikeB,     the thing that irks me is this time they have to complete, on my contract it states 30 months plus 6 to complete. this will take it to September 2007.they have never told us it is going to take that long and have given us so many dates as to when they are going to restart the building.  they have not worked there since December 2005 to my knowledge we have been out there so many times to view the progress only to be told that access is prohibited that i am now thinking it may not be completed this year . all the stories about being short of money is a load of you know what. Urbasa have been building a hotel in Elche and a large complex in Almeria since 2005 and our money has probably kept them going on them and we can wait .             Palmera have photos of the development starting march 2004    good luck on your trip to the Costa Blanca and I'm so sorry for you and your problem I DON'T HAVE YOUR PROBLEM BUT STILL FEEL P*** OFF WITH THEM

Hi, appreciate the input, I have now decided to hold fire having spoke to this Dutch investor I get the impression they have several hundred thousand in the company. Like you I am well P......d off with the situation, and I guess to a certain extent it is a waiting game untill their contract and obligations with us has officially expired.

I have been lucky enough to look around last October inside and have seen our ground floor apartment at the front almost finished bar the sanitery ware. There still appears a lot of work to be done on the top floor. I shall be talking to my contact over the weekend so will keep you guys posted.

Worse case scenario could we agree to buy at a discounted figure and as a consortium employ a contractor to complete. Protracted yes but surely possible.

Hi MikeB, sorry to hear how you have already sold up and your wife is having a baby. Can understand how fed up you really must be.

Think if we were to ask to buy at low price,  then get another builder to finish think they would tell us to get lost, dont you? Sounds a good idea, but weather it could work, is another matter.
