...and so it's goodbye from me.....

Over the weekend I've been made an offer I'd be foolish to refuse regarding my financial contribution in my apartment. As a result of that and the fact I'm shortly to be on the move again, probably Portugal this time, I'm not going to be contributing to the Condado de Alhama threads any more. I may have an occasional 'look see' but it wouldnt be right to contribute when I dont have any money in the place.

Thanks to the many people I've chatted to on the threads and by PM's. I've enjoyed the banter. I'm sorry if my inclination to do things 'right' or 'by the book'  has bothered a few people but blame my genetics. I always feel if rules exist they should be followed, they usually exist for the greater good not the individual but many people now seem to feel rules dont apply to them- so thats always a wind up for me.

I think CdA is a great resort with lots of potential and I still hope to make an occasional visit. I hope people who have problems with their apartments and with PW get things resolved, I've always felt PW sidestep their responsibilities, so I hope ML work hard for these people.The recession has hit Spain hard but I do hope it comes out of it before too long and that Condado is able to go from strength to strength. It may never be as PW orignially sold it but I still think its got much to offer and who knows what the future will hold?

 I  too get wound up by rule breakers,  I'm the same on the golf course,  I can't break the rules,  it feels like cheating and I  wouldn't be able to enjoy the drink after the game.

As you say I'm sure it will all come out in the wash as far as PW and CDA goes.   I get wound up by that too, but at the end of the day,  find you may as well just wait and see.   We seem to get more wound up by these things when we are here at home, but it all magically washes away when we are there.   We still love it   and have to stay optimistic about the future.

Will miss your epic posts and stories about all your family members, feel I know them all personally.  Hope you find what your looking for in Portugal but  remeber it is a world wide recession and Portugal will just be much the same I would think as Spain, but maybe you know something we dont?  Good luck and all the best for the future.
