Fine swaps and mighty fine deals

Hi All, I think everyone agrees that we are currently in a catch 22 situation, particularly with UK deposit payers unsure whether to complete or not, that is why i have said all along if you are in a position financially to complete your purchase then come out to Corvera at some point over the next few months and make your own mind up. I am not the only one saying this, absolutely everyone i meet on site says they are happy with their purchase. Also the Spanish buyers have obviously made their decision because the majority of completions at Corvera in the last few months are by Spanish people. I only really use my apartment at Corvera as a base, i don't sit in it all day, the surrrounding area is absolutely fantastic for shopping, sightseeing, lazing on the beach, cycling, sea fishing, playing golf, etc. I would like to see the clubhouse built and in daily use but even if it was there right now i would not use it that much and in the meantime all residents get free golf !  I doubt we will ever get the five star hotel and spa that was promised but if the area booms after the opening of the new Corvera airport then Calidona will not have to go looking for a hotel operator, the hotel operators will be knocking on Calidona's door. So i say again if you paid a deposit i don't believe you have a cat in hells chance of getting it back, so the only way to keep your deposit money is to complete your purchase and legally own your villa or apartment. You certainly should not decide what to do by reading comments on this forum, come out to Corvera for a holiday and make your own mind up !

We swapped from phase 3 in march and are very happy with the appartment we now have. Our only problem is that we completed in June but just have not had any time so far to come out to Corvera.

We also completed in June this year, following a lot (and I mean a lot!) of soul searching, but eventually reached our decision having balanced everything based on our personal situation.

We have visited a few times since then, and have loved it, but I think that's almost a given once you've completed because having made that decision, you put the rest behind you and enjoy!

We furnished the apartment, met some fab people, played golf, got to know the area better, just enjoyed being there, and are happily planning our next stay.

Thank you, we were the same regarding the decision. Nice to read a straight forward post without the contents trying to push for others for completion or non completion.

Both my husband and I play golf so hope to meet up when we eventually have some time.

Hi, we love it out there too...completed in June and have been over in July, September, October and Harry has just returned after a couple of days over there the past weekend.  Still some issues with our property but love the place, the views, the peace and quiet and getting to know the area.  Wish I was there for Xmas, especially when you could go and see something like this in Murcia city:

P.S. Are you actually an OWNER, if so which property have you completed on in order to qualify?

Forgive me if I am wrong.

It was my understanding that the the very early phase'purchasers' could put their property up for sale before completing unlike our contracts in phase 3.

So are you absolutely certain that those 10% are all completers,

A high percentage of the properties for sale on the websites are where people are trying sell their contracts which is why you won´t see any internal photographs

If you click into the property is actually says contract re-sale

We have taken over  friends / family on 3 occasions this year and everyone has loved both the complex and the surrounding area 

all the best to everybody who reads this post completers and non-completers alike

I was playing on the course yestarday, and it´s in great condition...A great course that with time, ehen trees and shrubs grow will be among the 3 best courses in the area.

The resort looks great, although this time of the year is not the best as it gets dark early,  I believe in spring will be lovely. I love it.

I encourage those who still have doubts on completing to come over and see it by themselves.

I agree with Simon we completed September 09 and love Corvera and the area, we can't keep away, to be honest there are always teething troubles on any new build, but they will improve. We still think the resort is unique and much prefer to others we have stayed at. It is really lovely during April and May as there is an abundance of wild flowers everywhere.
