As a lot of you know I was at Corvera again last week. Took my elderly parents and they absolutely loved it. Had a few rounds of golf and pleased to say that the course has held up well through the winter. The greens are starting to settle now and naturally forming some good swells and hollows to make putting far more interesting, especially with their speed which must be up around 11 on the stint in the sunshine.
Anyway onto the Clubhouse.
I spoke to Javier from the legal department and although he will not give a date for re-starting the Clubhouse,( In my honest opinion) I can suggest that the directors/bank negotiations are pretty much concluded. Whether the monies have been released yet I know not. I have seen with my own eyes that fresh building materials have been arriving on site and that the construction road behind the Clubhouse has been refreshed to allow the movement of plant in and out. So it all is looking very positive.
There is a however.
I also believe that the Clubhouse will be completed to the same standard as that of Roda but know that the original design will be changed slightly to adapt to it's lesser needs of the moment. Remember there are only around1000 properties on site and unless there is a sudden economy boom it will probably remain that way for at least 5-10 years (depending on the influence of the new airport and Paramount (should it happen). I suggest that it may remain at the hight it is now, incorporating a basement level and the ground level that it has, with maybe a sundeck/terrace on top. This is just speculation as I have not been privvy to any revised design.
Phase 3 and 4 purchasers forgive me but being selfish and having done a deal to swap to phase 1, I prefer it that way as I am looking beyond the clubhouse now to hills and mountains without buildings (it's a shame that the town hall will not allow us to turn off the street lighting up on phase 4 at night as it is deemed a public road having been 'adopted by the council'). Some of the second line apartment and villa purchasers also have the bonus that they are now effectively 'front-line to the golf course' when they were expecting to be looking over villa roofs to it.
I will of course update with any information as soon as I am able to get it.
If you can afford the wait, Keep the faith .... IT WILL HAPPEN!....Soon.
