Have just found the site, which is a god send..

Have just been updated by Palmeria by email that the builders are due to start 19th March!!!! and they still expect it to be finished in June (ho ho ho)

Welcome on board dvallier,  lets hope your e.mail is right only 18 days to go! Once they get started builders do work fast, look at the buildings around Amarion III. Its just when they stop work like with ours, that the hold ups start. If they get a full workload all hands on deck, who knows? We may be out there by the end of June, beginning July.

I promise, this forum is great for keeping us all sane. You dont feel as if you are on your own any more!

Hi dvallier, welcome to the site, you have been on your own all this time, but you have had a date off palmera  so have  been keeping in touch with them. thank you for the info .

Thanks for the update I am trying very hard not to be too optimistic after all the set backs but I really do think things are starting to move. When the nightmare is finally over we should attempt to make  a prearranged date when all becomes clearer to all try and meet up for a drink or Two or Three in one of the many bars that surround us in Almaradi, that’s the least we deserve

 

Good idea misty, a champaigne celebration!!! Or wine and beer, whatever! When the time comes we will have to keep the 'who's in Almoradi next?' post up to date so we can meet up when we can to celebrate!!

who is going as soon as they get the go ahead i will start a new forum for that one later in the year !!

on second thoughts i will put it on now  then we all have a rough idea of when all our members are ready to go

just got back from almoradi - went to see isobel at palmera - she wouldn't say anything but rang the builder & handed the phone to me as she says that the builder is always changing their minds - anyway builder said that they were starting work in one month & completing june / july !

ps site looks tidier than at our last visit - also new police station being built about 500 yards up the rosd into the town 

THEY HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT THEY ARE STARTING IN ONE MONTHS TIME FOR THE PAST 12 MONTHS,

 I WONDER IF THEY KNOW ABOUT APRIL FOOLS DAY - NOT MUCH CHANCE OF FINISHING IN JUNE / JULY -  LOADS TO DO

Having not been on the web site for a while just got up to date with info -  the 19th March start date co-incides with the 3 weeks that we got when we were over there in February from Laura, so prehaps things are moving. 

We managed to get into the building when we were over there - it seems there is quite a lot to do however if they get a full crew on site it may not take as long as we think and we weren't able to get in any of the downstairs apartments because they had locked doors on them which sort of gave the impression that all the fittings were in but thats just guess work!!!!

Lets wait and hear from whoever is out there next

hi all amarionairs,  I don't know if any of you will be interested but I have been browsing the net for properties for sale and came across  sirocoestates.com  offering amarion111 for sale . I enquired about the development and the reply was- we don't sell too much in the Alicnte area as they now concentrate on the Morroco developments but if I was visiting Alicante soon they would arrange for one of their own reps. to meet me.  This sounds an awful lot like palmera properties to me

Well spotted, it's got the Palmeria Properties reference number but more to the point they are advertised with Fitted Kitchens!!

 

is the price the same or have they gone up   just thinking if they have gone up they may have somebody to fit the kitchens with that price } maybe or they could be selling one with the kitchen fitted on the second floor - our is fitted

 IT DOES SAY IN MY CONTRACT AND I HAVE CONFIRMED THIS WITH LAURA

I CANT REMEMBER THE APARTMENT NUMBERS BUT IT IS SOMERT LIKE NO'S 28 TO 38  ON SECOND FLOOR HAVE KITCHENS

Siroco Estates is a 3rd party agent which Palera Properties uses to advertise their developments.

We found Amarion 3 via Siroco not Palmera.  When we expressed an interest, they passed our details onto Palmera and a viewing was arranged.  When we chose to purchse we had to pay Siroco a fee, as well as a fee to Palerma.

We paid the reservation money through Siroco and for this cost us a hefty 500 euro 'handling' fee.  They did absolutely nothing for this money other than pass our details on to Palmera.

I think when it came to pay the deposit and fees to palmera they wanted to charge us another 500 euro handling fee and I told them where to.  I think they eventually dropped it and sent out more papers.  It was such a long time ago now, I bearly remember what happened.

Hi all, just been reading through the Palmera Properties thread, under 'Spanish Estate Agents'. Some of the people who have bought through Palmera are getting together to try to get their money back and try to make sure no one else buys from them etc. I put a post on about Palmera and Urbasa and our case even though ours is Costa Blanca and they are Costa del Sol. Gillespie came on and said they may have some info on Urbasa for us and will get back to us.

Will check later to see if there is any info lets hope we find out something eh?
