Any news on who has taken over running and managing the Golf  courses please?

C'mon people, if you were in the know about something would you go and broadcast the details of it on an open forum before staff affected by the decision have been officially informed.  I certainly wouldn't.

I'm not saying I know anything about this "decision" and I am as interested as anyone about what it might be, but I can't see the issue with cm84 not divulging specific details.

 Regarding this forum...I enjoy reading about info that matters..like the Clover and retaurant and cheaper internet + rental.....

but to those of you telling us about Ola Golf or no Ola Golf.....why  write when you will not even reveal your source of info...just leave it go till the official announcement is made...it is sickening(cm84) to even start this nonsense...I would love for this Forum to just be help-full and informative.....Please, let us keep it this way....out with negativ and unsubstantiated rumors...must be people that just love to spread "negative" news...Enjoy the summer season everyone !!!!

 Disgraceful and unnecessary comments!  Should someone wish to post information on this forum no matter how scant, they are perfectly within their rights.  Should anyone wish to disregard this information, they are perfectly entitled to do so.  What you are not entitled to do is vent your frustrations in the form of personal childish attacks on any given individual.  Personally I am happy to accept the snippets of information on offer from CM84 and totally agree with SMV's sentiments associated with his comments at this stage.  I await an official statement on this subject with interest and intrigue.  More power to your elbow CM84.

 well del007...that is exactly what I did...leave my disconcert about the purpose of a local "Forum"...I do not know "cm84" but wish I did...probably a fine humane person...you "del007" apparently hunger for news of any kind but I just wish you and yours would be kind enough to do via e-mail....not through a "public" forum.....I do not think that is too much to ask....or what del007 ?...only looking for some sensibility here....not out to pick a "fight" with anyone...and I am not venting frustration...I am only selecting "al kasar" for info about business there.....not Ola Golf....

 b.bravo, I have no problem with your earlier comments, you are entitled to your opinion, no matter how disagreeable that opinion may be.  It is some of the earlier comments that I feel are so uneccessary and unhelpful.  I am lost at your comment with regard to my lust for meaningless news, just don't get you here.  If I understand you correctly you seem more peeved at the fact that CM84's comments are perhaps not strictly related to the original theme of the thread.  Not a problem for me!  This forum is full of jumping from subject to subject under a single heading.  Perhaps we require some thread police.  My previous contribution was initiated out of disbelief at the lack of tolerance and respect some people have for their fellow residents.

Not everyone who posts on here are residents.

Some are people looking to buy (as some recent threads show) some are residents and some I am sure are just mischief makers from other urbanisations/resorts, and whilst anyone can ask a question It would therefore be preferable for all residents and potential buyers that we keep to facts not rumour or inuendo as this does not help anyone positively or negatively.

Rumour and inuendo only feeds those doubters as to the future of CDA and they are very happy to pick up on this when the information in these posts do not materialise.

Any potential buyer therefore who is unsure whether to buy or not may, I say may decide not to.

Nothing will change on here as it is a free speech forum but  dont forget, not eveyone who posts on here has the interests of CDA at heart.

I think what BBravo and a few more of us are a bit miffed with is when someone comes on and basically says " something momentus is about to happen, I know what and who it is, but I am not telling you all. You will have to wait until it comes out officially as its a secret!. In that case, whilst respecting peoples rights to post anything they want within reason, why post anything at all?

 Thank you all for your response and very balanced views.  My main point is that not all people make the wisest comments within this forum, however I get disappointed when some people become totally abusive to people they don't even know.  Easy done from behind a keybord.  With regard to CM84, I personally do not know the man, but I do know of him and my information is that he is in the know but cannot compromise himself at this stage.  CM84 also has to respect the employees who have not yet been advised of thier personal situations at the moment.  My understanding is that CM84 is not scaremongering, he is simply giving us a quick shot in the arm, which I welcome.  Thank you CM84, sorry for the abuse.
