CM84,
Just read on another website that olagolf have arranged a series of golf tournaments with the one at Condado being on 6th August. Seems a bit strange them doing that when their lease is up and they are about to bale out in June. Very strange indeed!

CB84 You make sound like la torre town centre has nothing there .YOU SAY,. it has bank, a solicitors and a real estate office. { where is the real estate office ?? ) what about the other places like the hairdressers ( which is vewry good), The ice cream shop is open aginn, woodhouse bar, the clover, NEW RICE RESTAURANT AND BAR ,The conference centre has new owners and the other restaurants that are closed have had people looking to open them .Plus the hotel has losts of things going on in there. ALSO THE BAMBOO BAR IS OPEN. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PUT THE PLACE DOWN. MOST OTHER RESORTS WOULD GIVE ANYTHING FOR WHAT LA TORRE HAS.

When we were over at CDA last week my husband was speaking to the caddy master who informed him that they will have new managers for the golf course in the next two weeks. Sorry don't know who but this was from the caddy master

Linda - this is more interesting as you at least have a link to your information. and I wonder what it can mean. Is it that Olgagolf have put in new staff?
Mark- Polaris's theme for the resorts was 'water' so the pond at Al Kasar has no real meaning other than its a big pond, If you did the tour with a PW agent or exec then thats what they droned on about particularly at La Torre- fountains , pools and water.
I wasn't trying to put a negative bent on the Al Kasar but stating the obvious- if the units are put up for rent it doesnt mean we get a plethora of coffee shops; anyone can set up store there, and they dont all need daily clientel swishing thru buying up produce and that might just suit the Al Kasar- but who knows? Afterall we are off the beaten track but there are towns and villages close by with businesses.
How frustarating is this lack of knowledge- and we are the owners?.

No Olagolf will not put new staff. OlaGolf will most likely be out of the picture. very very soon.
It is for the best. The new management company will be lead by a very experienced person and will only make things better. Much better!

Well cm84 if you have inside information you are obviously more knowledgeable than the rest of us. Stll think it'd be short sighted of IRM to promote Olagolf as long term leaseholders and then pull them out after 12 months but then things aren't what they used to be. It was posted on here in June 2010 by del1007(or similar moniker) that they had spoken to one of the staff who told them Olagolf had a 15 year lease and I'm certain that info was also posted on another forum by the forum managers plus there was info on Olagolf's website along the same lines although I will grant I dont remember they quoted a time frame.
Anyway- provided CdA can progress via the Al Kasar and through improvements on the golf front I'll be a lot happier about owning on CdA.

CM84,
You seem to have some insider knowledge, but the main thing for me is you have gone from " not very promising at all" in your first contribution, to the new management will make things "much, much Better". In other words you have changed from a pessimistic point of view to a slightly optimistic stance. It is clear from that now that you cannot be Darren Wilkes and I apologise for insinuating that you were. I hope you are correct that the recent change of ownership and subsequently Management of our assets, if it does pan out that way, does indeed turn out for the better.
Cheers, Dakey

Yes for sure it will be for the better. I am talking about the golf that is the area I know about. Al kasar I'm not sure about. If everything goes as I see it happening then cda golf course could have a very bright future including large scale golf tournaments.

Hi all, Im reading this thread with great interest.
CM84, I notice from an old thread here on EoS called "Golf Course on Terrazas de laTorre" that you said you "work for the company".
Which company? Olagolf or IRM?

My sources advise me that CM84 is not to be chastised. He is, I'm advised, a genuinely decent person and any snippets of information he has to offer should be gratefully accepted. He will not intentionally mislead, treat him with respect.

Here we go again, more rumours! Not really sure how the golf course can be improved, I was out there a couple of weeks ago and it looked and played superbly. Not only that, but there were workers continually improving it. Olagolf are spending a lot of money on the upkeep of the course, and don't really see how this can be improved...clubhouse aside.
By the way, I did see Lord Lucan riding Shegar down the 18th Fairway, now there's a rumour!!

I think it would be nice to get rid of the pool, don't think it serves much and even the prettyness has gone now it looks like a boxing ring.
Should fill it in an make the area suitable for holding events, markets etc - once the resort picks up.

You are spreading rumours though mate.
You specifically stated that to date no inevestment had been received for the Paramount project, without (as far as I know, prove me if I'm wrong) any evidence to back it up.
You also insinuated the cancellation of the Arab-Hispano Forum was also due to lack of interest, which was also incorrect.
