Its normally me getting bullied and receiving all the insults on this forum. I am getting Jealous!

Getting back to the thread! Al Katraz sucks! over 3 years since I completed and 6 years since my deposit went down and there is still no restaurant and only 1 bar!

I agree with you. It is bad that the place has not improved as we all hoped it would. Although this forum site really will not change that.

I feel you do not need to assciate yourself with the type of comments given in this thread as Although you do moan, you are concise with your questions and moans; not just ....well you know what I mean.

and from the posts at the momment I take it that no one really knows anything for sure anyway.

Reading some of the news and threads it would appear that the resort is busy and quite a few positive things are happening. However, the proposed good news that was reported to be imminent on this thread has gone quiet. How long does it take in Spain to advise staff of changes? Does anyone have anything concrete to tell us about or a date when we can expect it?

With regards to Al Kazar has anyone any concrete definate news of anyone actually interested in opening any units within the Al Kazar and as far as the changes to the golf course management etc seems to have gone very quiet from cm84 all of a sudden the guy who we were told by some to respect. Perhaps he is not as much in the know as he thought he was. All i can say is what changes if any come about i cant see it making much of a difference to many people as i think Ola Golf have been doing a pretty good job of the course as it is.

Phil did say in a post further down the page that the decision regarding the golf course had been put back to the 17th July.

I'm not surprised CM84 has disappeared from the forum with the response that he got.  Personally we appreciate people like him, Phil, Barry and the residents on site who keep us informed of what is going on.

I agree that Phill and Barry and some others are brilliant and more power to them. The slight problem I and some others have with CM84 is that he basically came on and said that Olagolf were about to be ditched and lets face it until then most people were happy with their performance. He then said that something a lot better was coming, but he wasnt going to tell us what it was as it was a secret.. Now I do not know him and I accept from what people are saying that he is a sound guy, but for me personally, I can do without nonsense like that. That doesnt mean that I dont hope he is correct when the 'secret' eventually emerges.

NGT take over on monday although transition might take a few days or weeks. It is a fnatastic thing for condado and all 6 courses will be operatiing together again.

The people running NGT could not be more qualified and experienced for the job.

I take it this is Nicklaus golf trail ? Hopefully this will bring our golf facilities up to the standard that were promised. I think Olagolf have done a good job maintaining and managing the course but I was never in the camp that thought this was the company that would deliver the promised facilities.

During our recent visit to Condado, we had a jaunt up to Benidorm for the second year running and stayed again at a resort with 2 JN designed courses. Although not as good layout as Condado golf-wise, the finishing off and landscaping plus a wonderfull clubhouse is what we are all crying out for at Condado. It also shows us what a classy town centre should look like compared to Al Katraz.. It can't come soon enough for me !!

Weren't Polaris managing the Nicklaus Golf Trail or was that just because they owned the courses at that stage.

Anyway any progress is good and hope the next news is about our long awaited clubhouse.

Can't imagine how anything being run by anyone with any association with Polaris World (past or present) can be a good thing although the 'Nicklaus Trail' is a positive move.  I thought Ola Golf were doing a great job?  Who does this gentleman work for?

Just wondering what the positives are as I don't really understand all the gongs on :o)

Oh and yes, positive news of a club house would instill some confidence in the new management!

Was expecting negative comment as soon as the name Polaris world was mentioned! Don't know anything about the guy but hopefully CM84 can enlighten us. Maybe this is the company who run Polaris courses now?

Just reported the facts as I know them and haven;t got into speculation - I'm sure others will do that for me!

Perhaps news of their plans may cast some light on the clubhouse. The article states IRM's intention to make Murcia famous for golf.

Why people have to put a negative slant on things without waiting for the full details to emerge I dont know (This thread is not even about golf its about Al Kazar and the uptake of units)

Fantastic news.

Hopefully it will go through and we'll be able to get the old shuttle buses again to the other resorts and really make use of the wonderful golf courses at our disposal.
