CM84 is in the know believe me. I know who he is and he is not giving us the usual waffle we get on here. if you don't believe him believe me who just reports facts about the golf society.

It is likely he knows more than the lot of us so treat him with respect.

He may well have knowledge about the future of the golf course (time will tell), but i doubt very much that he has any inside knowledge about the status of the investment negotiations for the paramount project, as he suggested he did in previous posts where he stated they hadn't received any. If merely questioning him on how he got that information is 'disrespectful' then you've taken sensitivity to a whole new level, congratulations.

 I suggest you read back and note some of the comments.  As I stated according to my sources CM84 is in the know and most likely is not in the position to reveal his sources.  Question him by all means, I'm sure if he is in the position to respond he shall.  All we are saying is don't question his integrity.

Seems this thread has got a little lost somewhere along the line.Was originally about the Al Kazar and now rambling on about who is going to run the golf courses.Personally  i dont mind or think it will make any difference who is running the courses the point of the thread was who if anyone is going to invest in the Al Kazar now that PW are out of the way.The resort needs more facilities to keep people interested and to help make the resort more attractive to potential visitors.Anyone on here actually planning to invest in the Al Kazar.

Apologies if I seem flippant, and don't want to offend anyone, but all this 'cloak and dagger'  and the mysterious dark figure - CM84 (it's like something out of a Sherlock Holmes novel), just puts a broad smile on my face. No matter what, I love my little place in the sun, and as long as the sun keeps shining, and I can drink a cool beer whilst barbecuing on my terrace...I'm a happy man!  Simplistic I know, but you have just got to make the most of what you have got, which ain't that bad...

At the end of the day aslong as we get a clubhouse, a bar that is well run and a restaurant that is open I will be happy.

Don't really care who runs the courses as long as they insist a clubhouse is built.

 I have to agree with cm84 that their will be one owner soon for all the 6 golf courses and once again we can have the Nicklaus trail.. In which case it has to be Irm and they will then appoint olagolf to manage them. Apart from not building a clubhouse i have to say the work olagolf have done on our course is second to none.  lets just hope they keep the promise and start the clubhouse soon.  They now have the land so all they need do now is design and build. As for the financing that should be covered by IRM  I imagine.

Lets hope it doesn't put the green fees up.  Seemed to me that the green fees were getting competitive between all the courses...although that may just be a sign of the times we live in at the moment.

That is still one of the things that stops me playing more (plus a wife and 3 kids) at CdA. Outside society time and one or two twilight games I haven't paid the standard owner green fee.

Bearing in mind I am more of a social golfer than a member paying thousands in membership each year.

I agree, its a bit boring all this cloak and dagger stuff, CM84 admits he used to work for Olagolf but now doesnt. At the same time he is then the only person on this forum to badmouth Olagolf, everyone else has nothing but good things to say about them. Could it be that there is perhaps some bad blood between them? The plot thickens.

Nick, Call them up and they will pick you up at 7.45 then drop you off at 11-12pm. They have a new mini bus all stickered up with their logo! Great deal.

Been on holiday and got back, reading the thread made me laugh. CM84 had some information that some people didnt like and people started to have a go at him, dakey even accused him of being me!! (Bit harsh!)... Dakey, I dont hide behind, nicknames or other profiles!

Harry Potter World is much improved since Olagolf took over the running of the Park!

However, just wait for Wilkes World, coming soon to Alhama, all drinks are half measures and everybody gets a miserable mask to wear when they enter! 

 Any you'll need a flat cap and pet sheep if you want to get into Mr Wilkes World ............ Darren, keep up the sanity checking, but my glass remains half full ............. especially in The Clover !! ................
