Mark and I went on the Dragon Tour (based at camposol) wine trip to the Jumilla region yesterday and what a fantastic day and tasting we had. Would definately recommend the trip. We first visited a Olive farm and were shown where they produce high quality olive oil. Before lunch we then went to our first winery which was a family run company and tasted some wine as well as being shown where and how they make their wine. Then off for lunch in Jumilla where the majority of the group went along to a Spainish restaurant with our guide Eileen from Dragon Tours. We had a four course meal with wine and coffee all for 12 euros a head!!!! It was fantastic. After lunch we went to the second winery which was a much bigger concern again looking around andseeing how and where they made the wine and of course some more wine tasting.............Finally we stopped at a local monastry before heading home.
A great day very well organised and well worth the money definately recommended.
Back to the UK tomorrow to rest my liver :)
