I have uploaded the photos as promised. There is a selection showing the turf being laid. A selection showing the double track and upgraded fencing and paving of the train station. There is also another selection showing the road I was discussing previously. The roundabout leads up to a new road which has already been laid with street lighting but not fully completed yet. There is obviously going to be a lot of development up this road. Which make me wonder what the intentions are for the road leading down to Carvajal as this will be a very busy junction when all the developments are completed. There is another totally seperate road at the rear of Don Juan which will eventually lead to the motorway. I hope this is more clear now.

Thanks Janmet for that - it clears up my confusion and the photos you have posted are very helpful!
Can anyone confirm that "Direct access to the beach " was listed as a feature in the original brochures/marketing material and if so I wonder what was meant by that?

The tunnel that comes out by the caribian bar is the tunnel that is supposed to be made into access to the beach.I posted some pics of it just after christmas. I hope its true but to be honest they hadnt done any work on it and it looked like a storm drain to me.

Pleased though I am to see the turf being laid, I'm hoping that we are going to see more than wall to wall grass. The turf seems to be filling in everywhere, with no signs of provision for any other type of planting. Our agent, and Perla, told us when we first saw the development that there were going to be 'tropical gardens'. Hopefully some of the turf will be cut away to allow for planting. In fact we were told that the landscapers would be the same as those who currently look after the gardens at the apartments up the road at El Huegeron (sp?) near Benalmadena. Pueblo It was also Perla who told us about the 'direct' access through the tunnel to the beach, of course this was only verbal; it was the tunnel that comes out by the Caribian bar that was mentioned.

There certainly won't be a tunnel to the beach. See my earlier posts in the infrastructure topic.
I fear that the tropical gardens will probably go the same way as the promised park and the nine hole golf course.

Just been looking at the photos recently posted and noticed the turf being laid. A question to anyone who knows about gardening (as my knowledge is almost zero on the topic), shouldn't turf have grass already growing out of it and be green in colour? the turf in the photos doesn't seem to have much grass on it!

Also forgot to add I agree with Michelle17's comments about wall to wall lawn, I hope they do plant some trees / shrubs / colourful flowers etc in addition to the lawn. However I have feeling it will probably look like the gardens in their last development at Monte Canada.

Hi everyone, I will be posting some pics on site later tonight as I was out at Don Juan last week. I Have taken a few internal pics of phase 3 to show the Spanish building techniques, all I will say is be careful when you drill or nail for pictures and lights etc, as they are quite happy to run water pipes through the walls and ceilings plus dividing walls between apartments is only 100mm thick! Also took a couple of pics showing the height of the phase 3 block. Anyone in the phase 2 building should now be able see what sort of view they will expect to have.
The developers have installed auto-watering system for the turf so it should green up ok. There is no watering in the private gardens.
Regards, Andy

Added some new photos - the turf is indeed mostly laid (Perla told me the gaps were for flower beds?!) but the ground was not prepared before hand. I am not sure what the opposite of bowling green but whatever it is that is what we've got. We've also got lots of weeds coming through.
There is lots of fixing up going on on site - painters etc are all at work. There is still plenty of suspended cables and hoses about. The most dramatic change is to the road by the railway. The work at the drainage hole seems to have been to widen this and there is now a flat hardcore surface wide enough for a dual carriageway! They are cutting away at the hill opposite the railway station to make this part wide as well.

Hi All, with all the activity of internal viewings of apartments does anybody have any pics to upload which show the finish and cleanliness etc of the apartments.
regards, Andy

Hi Andy, Perla barely allows you time to look around let alone take photos but from what I saw the finishing was the same as that of the showflat i.e. a bit rough in some areas and the floor was as dusty as I last remember seeing it (about a year or so ago) & the wc's need a good clean! Perla told me that the floor is already polished but very difficult to see with all that dust on it.

Have posted some photos taken in mid March from up on the hill behind Don Juan so the folks in Block 1 Phase II can get a different view of how Phase III is likely to affect them.

Hi Jamesellisllb, I noticed in the last photo the downlights have been fitted in what looks like the 2nd bathroom, is this your apartment? if so how can you get this done prior to completion?

Hi Jamesellisllb, I have just noticed your posting on the 'chit chat' thread about the recessed lights, still I wonder how some apartments have had work done to them things which I have been told has to be done after completion.

Hi All,
Was in Spain last week and have posted a few pics on site. Not a great deal has changed other that grass is a bit greener and trees have been planted along pavement. You will see that the new roundabout near the bridge has been demolished, I assume that in Spanish tradition that if a jobs worth doing once its worth doing twice, probably in an attempt to get it somewhere near right. I also took a few pics of a road opposite the bridge anyone know whats happening here?
I will now not be out to Spain again until completion so if anyone is going out it would be great to see any future pics added to this site.
Regards, Andy
P.S It looks like the foot bridges are about to be installed at the back of phase 3.
