Endesa knocking on door?

My wife was at home today and says that Endesa knocked at the door and made her sign some forms, they spoke no English and she assumed they had read the meter or whatever, we had some problems a few months back with the neighbour hacking our meter but since then they moved anyway and we changed meter and moved to a new tarrif. This was a good 3 months back.

Our meter usually gets read around 18th-20th of Month and I phoned Endesa and they confirmed nobody had been round and nobody would read the meter until 18th. Also when they come and read the meter they have never wanted us to sign anything before.

I've heard of scams involving people dressing up as water or gas company employees and asking for money, but these guys didn't ask for money, they just asked her to sign the form which appeared be showing meter readings.

Anyone else had Endesa round recently?

 Endesa are now taking readings every two months and we do not have any estimated  soours in block 2 were read on the 18th May so next reading will be around 18th July  .

Yes they definitely weren't from Endesa, or so they claim. They had no record of anybody coming round and we only signed a new contract a couple of months back
