I've sent an email to millennium asking what measures they are taking re the break ins. I have recommended they up the level of security and check all vehicles leaving the resort. If everyone sends a similar note we could end up living in the safest place on earth!

2littletinkers - as far as I know its 4 done. 3 on the ground floor and one on the first floor. All on Jardine 8. There may be more if, for example the thieves have been clever and left the apartments so there is no obvious sign of a break in. If owners don't have keyholders the first they will know is when they come for a holiday and find their TV missing. I think security should be checking empty apartments to see if they are being used to store the stolen property...the one next to ours is untouched so would be a good hiding place, and its right in the middle of those burgled the other night.

Last autumn i found a house with loads of bikes and phoned security....but apparently someone had bought the house and was storing their bikes there! An empty house would be good and then take the stuff off site when its sold or the heat has cooled down.....its such a shame!! When you get a chance let us know exactly what is missing so we can keep an eye out on the items for sale FB pages...

Thanks for the offers to look out for the items. The bike is the only easily recognisable item so I've posted a picture which isn't the same bike but is almost identical.

what is Millenium doing about it all? Please tell me that all vehicles are being checked leaving the resort - I bet they are not...... They have to up the security - especially in the quiet months. If everyone sent a mail to Millenium they'd have to do something......

I believe that there have been painters in the gardens last week which would provide a very good distraction to allow the criminals to blend in. It is common for bogus officials and workmen to carry out crimes with some cases in the UK where things such as 100 metres of ancint paving were stolen.
Posing as a pergola painter would be the ideal cover with one guy up the ladder acting as lookout which his accomplice is inside.
Security need to monitor closely activities around contractors and check the identity of all of them as its not uncommon for vans to be set up in company livery of genuine cobtractors. I agree with Claire that all vehicles need need to be checked and particularly those of contractors which may not always be as genuine as they appear.

I agreed about security not doing there job properly. Upon leaving site at either entrance gate, if you have a entrance card or not they still just open the barrier, they don't come out the hut because they are lazy! They are not bothered. Security needs re addressing, the guards need to check every vehicle leaving, and me for one as a genuine and honest home owner will not mind, those who object may have something to hide. Does the guard who drives around site, ever get out of the car! I agree about empty apartments being checked, that's a brilliant idea, does anyone know if ML are considering this?

And what if it's an owner/resident with a pass card? They'd just drive out.
Criminals will always find a way to do what they need to do to survive, you can try and deter them but you'll never prevent them so best advice is make it more difficult for them to steal from your gaff by whatever legal means possible.

Any vehicle which security cant see in the back of should be stopped
and not allowed to use the fast pass system its supposed to be a holiday complex not a
business area anyway ,they all should be searched with no exception
its at least 50 bikes gone not counting all the other swag, I don't think the scum are cycling them out
can the security themselves be trusted
This thread seems to be very quiet considering its importance
if we stop them leaving then where would they sell
I think someone knows who these people are and may be frightened to say
ask yourselves
its January how many vehicles can be going through security per day not many holiday makers, no market etc.
some one must know .
lets hear from closed in vehicle owners who are prepared to be searched and ones who are not
this may sound unfair to the british but if you are searched thae the spanish will be also i would hope
can you think of anything worse than going on hols to find your home ransacked or the phone call to say it as been
dont forget nobody who lives on condado as had a breaking so may be people are thinking its nothing to do with them
and dont want trouble wicth i can understand but we all pay the c/c fees to keep you living in a beautiful place

It seems to me that everyone is assuming that a vehicle must have been brought onto the site and then the stolen goods taken back out past security but there is a nother possibility..
If it is mainly small and/or easily carried items then there is the possiblilty that someone has driven a vehicle around the outer ring road parked the other side of the security fence opposite the jardin and an accomplice, who has commited the burglary, has simply passed the stuff over or through the fence. Lot less likelyhood of getting caught and most of the jardins run close to the security fence.

On La Torre they have 2 main points of entrance and exits, but they also have what was called a service entrance and exits which is a bit like a hole in the wall, people that use this road are people like Polaris Telecom etc, i dont know if CDA has a entrance and exits like this and,Im not saying Polaris Telecom are anything to do with your problems but they would not get the attention with the vans they use.

I have just sent an email to Millenium too.
I have voiced my concerns & added that we have a card but would have no objections for the card to be made null & void so we are checked each time we enter & leave. I know this would be a pain in the proverbial for owners who leave & return on a daily basis but hopefully it would send a message out to everyone that they will be checked. If nothing is found but the breakins continue then its is obvious it is some on living or staying on site but why would they want loads of TV`s there are only so many rooms you can install them unless they are a cleptomanic. (Hope that`s the correct word)
