Jardines 8 - burgled last night

I don't believe that any residents' ballot happened!!

I dont believe the security guards are on the take...but I heard somewhere today the auxiliary ones are on about 600 Euro a month...don't know how true that is. There are so few jobs about that they have to keep the ones they have...so I dont think they would risk aiding a burglar!!! I see them walking the gardens almost every day. But if the mobile guard is walking the naranjos...the jardines are wide open!!

I don't see any other way forward but cameras and more cameras!!

I love my window locks, but until we all have window locks the burglar will just move onto a house with no locks. These locks cost about 7 Euro from the ferreteria...if you don't want to pay Rob, I will lend you a drill if you don't have one...for a small donation to CPR.

From what I know of patio doors they are relatively easy to open..I remember an uncle being burgled years ago.yet these scum in J8 wrecked one or 2 window frames in the process...so they don't sound too bright!!

Secure your properties, is there a way to scratch name and address on back of tellies??? Mark your property in such a way it can't be resold....

Lastly email ML and demand a breakdown of the security bill....why are only l2s, l1 and ML privy to the breakdown. ...its our money and our apartments being robbed!!!

Still time for Barri to put up for a presidents job so he can contribute to Condado in a positive manner.

If you dont like your Presidents or they dont do the job you think they should be doing then vote them out its that simple!

All the Presidents on Condado have the same vested interest and that is to make our community better for us all.

I am sure that the Presidents are as concerned about the break ins as the rest of the community and am sure they will do what they can to reduce the risk of loss to our neighbours, we also need to secure our properties as well, as even though we have a gated community it will not stop all thefts on a resort this size.

I feel so sorry for the people who have had breakings so let work together and try to stop it after all we do contribue by paying c/charge and i think the residents should do more and i dont mean the one thats doing the robbing  lol

You cant blame the presidents....the L3 presidents have no power...no meetings...L2 s and l1 make all decisions without referral to L 3 s or residents!!  The level 2s and level 1 do a good job...but we all need to be in the loop, especially regarding the spend on security!

Just interested.....for those people out there now....are security checking vehicles leaving the resort?

No. In and out a few times yesterday, not stopped once.
One gatehouse even had tape over residents exit so had to use visitors side. Waited several seconds while security finished their conversation before opening gate before they carried on talking.
SO: Breakdown on recently installed/repaired card readers Approx 20k
No stopping and checking for our community charges Approx 400k
Sun shining and blue skies Priceless. (as long as you have sunloungers to enjoy)

And the other 7k???


I have no problem with security staff, they do the job they are paid to do...one of them told me last year that they are not supposed to search!!

But if some of them are paid 600 Euro a month as auxiliaries...the company who employs them are robbing us blind!!

What are they paid to do if they are not "supposed" to check vehicles. They may as well not be there, what exactly do we pay them to do?
Friends of ours drove through gates yesterday with full patio set in back of their vehicle. They stopped at gate while waiting for barrier to be opened then waved straight through.
It was all above board, but it could have been YOUR patio set.

Everyone needs to send millennium an email requesting security do checks otherwise they don't know how many if us want this done. I've sent mine and I've emailed our president.

Do you know who your president is?  ML wouldn't tell some owners as it's a secret until the minutes come out.  Unless you were one of the few at the AGM?

Yes I do - I emailed Milenium and they sent me the email address and name of my president.

the e mail address for Jardine 8 president is ja8presidente@anillointeriorcondado.es so I would have thought that the other jardines would be the same just ja1, ja2, ja3 etc.  Not sure about naranjos - could be na1, na2, na3 etc but hopefully someone on naranjos will be able to help with that.

Have heard one of the naranjos has a president registered with an unsold property...now there's democracy!!

Does anyone on the forum know of a business that supplies and fits security shutters? - similar to what we have on the rear of our apartments but strengthened with aluminium not just plastic.

We have an apartment on garden 8 and are gonna beef up our front window security following the recent thefts.

can't help with the shutters but have you had the window locks fitted?  That makes a difference.
