Cars parking in our allotted space

I know it's not massively busy but different cars are parking in our allotted space which has a knock on effect as we then have to park in another persons slot. What do people do to keep their own slot available just for you?  As it gets busier it will become more difficult and I don't want anyone having a go at me if I end up having to park my car in their slot. 

You could leave a polite note asking them not to park there. We had that last year and contacted security and the car wasnt parked there anymore. Maybe people dont realise you are there and using it.

I also put a nice note on the car that was parked in our space and since then no problems with that person but it is very annoying as many people park in our space as it is by the walkway

Interesting post in the respect that I was told by Mileniun that we didn't get allocated a specific space...take it that was a small porkie pie??

Hi Dionne, I could be wrong but I think the Jardines side have allocated spaces, but if you are on Naranjos side you don't. We are on Naranjos and don't have a specific car parking space. Have never had a problem parking our car and no awkward problems of someone being in our space, so having go park in someone else's. Much simpler I think!! :-)

Bettyb you are correct in the jardines every apartment has a parking bay marked with your apartment number so there really is no excuse not parking in your own bay! I believe there are also. Couple of bays for visitors too do again no excuse. Thanks for your replies interesting that people are putting lists up but we won't do that - I've not see. That but I can imagine if you live here that it must drive you mad not being able to use your bay. Maybe no allocated bay is easier which us why they've done that on naranjos - interesting

We are on Jadin 7 and our parking space is at the walkway beside Condado Club.  Our space is always taken, either by other Jardin 7 Residents or people using the Condado Club.  I have to park in someone elses space continually.  Last year we were left very abusive note on our car window by the owner of the space I was in!

Its really annoying, I wish there were no numbers beside the spaces, Jardin 7 is always busy in summer because of people using the Condado Club - I really dont care where I park as long as I get a space along the back of my apartment, and wish people could be a little more tolerant.

Just park across them and leave its .they'll soon come looking for you and won't do it again .

Forget polite notes .these people don't give two hoots block them in and they won't do it again .

We are in Jardin 5 and also opposite the Condado club. Our allotted space is quite  few apartments down from our apartment & so far have not had any problems. Though all of the spaces are numbered they are starting to fade now. Maybe we aught to re paint them when we are over next

I really think this a situation of common sense. If you really had to walk a long way to park your car from your appt you have a case. If not then is it really a problem. I have never ever seen a full car park anywhere on condado.

I completely agree George and common sense is that if each parking bay is marked with an apartment number please just park in the bay allocated to your apartment - it's so simple.  I don't want to inconvenience anyone by parking in their allocated bay just because someone else has decided to park in mine. 

Most people want to park their car as near to their windows as possible so they can "keep an eye on it" or because they have heavy suitcases etc as near to the walk ways as possible. We are in an end apartment but below us is a wheelchair slot. and our alloted space is about 8 spaces down from there. We still park in our alloted space, why would anyone choose  to do otherwise. For us its not the customers going to the Condado club that have parked in our slot but others who`s slot has also been taken. It is a no win situation sometimes. If our slot has gone then where do we park. Luckily it has only happened once last year & never been a problem since but what happens when a group of 6 are renting & have two cars. Where does the second car go. Maybe extra parking spaces could be allocated on the area around the golf course.alongside the road. This area has become a massive doggy toilet but that is another issue

I don't think that any of the bays should have been allocated as my own space is a fair old hike from my apartment and there are unmarked spaces directly in front of my place anyway which, 9 times out of 10, are available so I park there.  I don't see the point in having hundreds of empty spaces most of the year and having to park so far from your own place. I don't park in other folk's spaces but hate having to use my own space, especially if I'm unloading shopping in the scorching heat and having to lock and unlock the car each trip back and forth.

It's just people parking in allocated slots that are not their apartment number that I have the problem with - if bays are not marked with an apartment number there's no issue at all.

This has happened to us and to guests of ours at our apartment in penthouse block 7 it happened to us only last week when we were out at Condado, I would just like to point out that it was clearly pointed out to us when we bought our apartment that we had an allocated space as do all the penthouse apartments, as we are top floor we have a sheltered space included in the premium price we paid for top floor so if someone would like to use our sheltered space because its more convenient for them i am happy to sell it to them with my apartment, as they say you get what you pay for and that includes your parking. ;)
