Call to AGM & Painting

Is there anyway that you can opt out as I have painted my apartment twice in the last four years and am not prepared tp pay extra for someone else to do it again ?   Also the prices quoted are exorbitant.   It took me a day to paint a 3 bedroom ground floor apartment at a cost of approximately 80 euros so where has the price of 600 euros come from ?

I am considering moving to Spain, if I can earn over 500 Euros per day, whitewashing buildings in the sun!

I am amazed that a country that has youth unemployment over 25%, we cannot get someone to do it for less. 

I feel 200 Euros would be a fair price. If we bought the paint in Bulk we could get it for about 30-40 Euro per apartment, as mentioned below, a professional could easily paint 1 apartment per day. So he could still earn 160-170 Euros per day, which is a decent wage in any country!

A scaffold tower could be purchased for a few hundred Euros by the community which would be more than adiquate for all but the penthouses.

we might need more than one scaffold tower and one painter to get round the complex........................otherwise Paramount will be built before we get it finished !! !

i will be attending the AGM on Saturday for Naranjos 1-6 if anyone in those apartments wishes to send me their proxy.  My name on my passport is Denise Okane as Im too tight to amendname to Smith on it till it expires.  my email is condadogym@gmail.com, many thanks.  If successful as President for Naranjos 5 I fully intend to get a quote for our garden to be painted separately, which I believe I may do under the statutes.  The painting should be quoted as per the level 2 areas not resortwide.

that's 1250 euros  if you had to have it done five times. I think I might have been a bit hasty in condemning the 600 euros per property that has been touted............................ In reality, a bargain then ! 

It seems strange that the level 1& 2 presidents are a little anonomous in this process, where do they stand on this? I'm in penthouse block 1 and Ive never met or had any contact with the president, do we have one. Is anyone going who could have my proxy?

the painting should be completed in a day .

the 3 bed and 2 bed garden apartments will be easily painted with two men two coats.

tools required, paint 2 extendable rollers 2 brushes a ladder to cut windows in.

not required.......... tower scaffold.

as stated 1200 euros for a upstair downstair apartment that can be painted in one day is a frightning price to pay,i apreciate that the frontline penthouses require more equipment,that is and should be a seperate quote as other garden owners cant be expected to pay and take a hit on there behalf.

I think we are all agreed that the prices quoted are way too high, probably more than double what they should be!

However, I was told when purchasing that property that it would be painted every 3 years without having to pay any additional money. Its almost 7 years, its not been painted and now they are asking for a crazy figure.

Why was money not put aside for this?

It would be fairer if the community gave everybody till Christmas to paint their own properties, then those who have not painted would be charged 600 euros.

I am annoyed that I am paying someone 600 euros for something I could do myself in a day. I am sure Michanengelo earned less per day than these people charge and his work lasted more than 3-5 years!

Could not agree with you more. As we feltour apartment was in need of being painted we tok it upon ourselves to get itdone & I know many others have done so too. I think it would be more cost effective if everyone sorted out their own property being painted as we all seem to have had a much better quote

So is there any option to vote against the costs? All I saw on a previous post containing the voting options was alternative ways to pay the 600 euro (monthy, annually, etc.). We are happy to pay to keep the place looking good but at the best possible price.
