I think your best bet for internet is Movistar Fibre optic, which is currently being rolled out (mine is booked in for 1st week in Jan). Pretty much all English TV is through the internet now so you want a solid speed and I've tried various boxes and modems and they are never great, especially when trying to stream TV. I've got the normal ADSL at the minute and it's pretty good. fibre is much faster though.

If you get your internet sorted and choose to go for internet TV pacakges, then you would either go down the paid route (www.wliptv.com) or similar for around 30 euros a month for full sky type packages or save a few quid with the free options such as Android and filmon.com. Here you would buy an android box and download software to view free streams, but usually the quality and reliability are poor and you need some tech knowledge to keep fiddling about to find streams.

where can you book Movistar and at what cost please

Would not recommend booking online with Movistar - better to do so in person when you are in Spain. Generally, they are pretty quick (where the infrastructure is in place).   Here you can see their current prices for various options of internet.

Can recommend wliptv.com - I tried them out on my TV browser (before buying a Mag 254 box) and even on the browser the quality was acceptable.  The Mag box is better though and obviously more user friendly.  Also you can just pay for a month at a time, which is handy if you are visiting on and off.

I booked Fibre Optic online with movistar on 9th December and it was installed yesterday. Seems very fast so far, much faster than the 30mb VDSL we used to have.

I think its 58 euros a month for up to 300mb speeds including line rental and some calls etc
