Currently in the process of buying on CORVERA

Dear All

Just to let you all know we have  now completed on our Apartment in Corvera...

All went well according to our Solicitor and we are now the proud owvners of an apartment, may we have many happy years her.

We are jus waiting for the confirmation of the land registry and the connection of the utilities.

As this was a bank repossesion the apartment will require light fittings to be installed and the locks changed and security items added.  Also a big clean as the apartment is as the builders left it 7 odd years ago..

All of these things need to be considered, also all the prices are quoted without IVA... so again you have to make sure you are taking this in to account!

We have not gone for a furniture package as we are on a budget... so have ordered via Ikea Distance sales!   We went into our local Ikea in the UK... worked out what we wanted and then ordered via the Ikea Murcia web link... They are delivering our order for bout €100 - so just got to get to a DIY store and pick up a tool kit and a drill and  do a bit of building!  This has saved us lots.  We also need to buy a washing machine and a Fridge Freezer will be looking for this when we are over next week.

Then sun loungers...... and off course some wine glasses!  

We have completed in what i think is record time, saw the property on the 16th January, put offer in on 20th January, offer accepted 30 January, Deposit paid 4th February, Completed 4th March...  phew!! 

Any advice from anyone most welcome, and if we can help any potential buyers either in Corvera or in any of the other lovely places please let me know.

Thats great news!

Personally we bought washer and fridge freezer from Media Markt in Murcia - maybe not the best place in some people's opinion, but it did the job for us.

Thanks mib, there is quite a lot of help from this forum,, it is much appreciated. I do get a good cummunal feel from the comments.

I  think overall most people want to share their experiences and hope it makes the purchasing 'journey' a little smoother!

There are many different places to buy and you will get owners from each singing their own respective  praises. What I would say is take these comments on board by all means - but ultimately it is you who is parting with your hard - earned so choose a place which is right for you - this way you can't go far wrong.

We are viewing on Terrazas, on Tercia as well as Corvera and others not on golf resorts, we have a busy few days.

Hope we find 'the one', if not its back to the drawing board and wait for summer.

We did see something we fancied yes, but not on a Golf Resort, we have put a deposit on a wonderful and spacious apartment in the town of Sucina.

Not a golf resort which is what would be my first choice, but for several reasons, we prefer Sucina to Terrazas and Corvera after what we saw.

Out of 10 viewings the one we have bought was the only one that gave us the feeling we were looking for.

Well my sale on my 2 bed Villa went through 2 weeks ago

Delighted to now own on Corvera Golf after searching in other area's such as Succina, camposol, Polaris world, other golf places after a sale fell through in the Puerto de

I found Mavis on here who put me in touch with Darren who offered information on Corvera and surrounding area's plus information on the properties. 

He also on my arrival put me in touch with people who where on Corvera. 

I Called on these people a stranger and left a friend!

I was allowed to stay in my property free of charge for 5 days as sale was delayed by sellers bank arranged by Chris at Finishing touches

invited to two BbQ's and made to feel welcome

snd a went out for a couple of lunches with Shui plus when I thought my boiler had broken 

the guy jumped in his car and showed me how to fix it! 

What a community and wonderful people.

Happy I have chosen the right place for me 

back out on 27 April can't wait!!
