 Dear All,

I have just received an e-mail from our Community President (we are on R-2) who states that following a meeting with the Mayor of Algorfa 14 CCTV cameras are to be installed throughout the site and fed back to the hut which is being constructed at the main entrance. This will then be manned 24 hours by the Algorfa Police. All of this is being provided free of charge by the Algorfa Town Hall! Three cheers for them I say!

I am out at La Finca for our R-2 AGM in late June so will try and find out more regarding this.

Also, if anyone wants some photos of their property / area taken let me know as I will be taking numerous long walks around the site with my 1 year old and will happily take my camera and post pics on here for you or e-mail them

Regards

Richard

Sounds a really good development, if it's true of course. I have heard so many rumours about who has bought on La Finca. It seems remarkable that the local police will be monitoring the cameras - there are always complaints about lack of officers in the area - but it would be very welcome and could positively affect the property prices.  I'm out in June and I'll make some enquiries.

Peter

Unfortunately, nothing in life is free and the services provided are reliant on everyone registering at the town hall, effectively on the electoral roll, so the money comes from central government (i.e. your taxes).  Same the world over!

It would be a good idea to encourage people to register if we want the perks on site such as rubbish bins and patrols, etc.

You need to go to Algorfa town hall with your passport and deeds to the property.  they also sometimes want to see a utility bill for the property, depending on who you see, they will then give you a padron.
cheers
alf
