Paul,
Just arrived back from Roda and there is no change. Nice guy in the resales office (old Clubhouse) told me they would start on the commercial centre no later than Jan'08, heard nothing constructive (excuse the pun) on the hotel.
The place is looking good, golf course busy.

Just back from Roda
Called into the sales office to speak about the Hotel/Commercial center
The Commercial has changed design now and has just been passed by the town hall
There are about 16 individual units that the sales guy said will be ready up and running by mid summer 2009
Still waiting on the hotel licence though

Hi All,
Not wanting to appear cynical but I wouldn’t believe anything until I saw the build start. I don’t blame the guys in the office, they only pass on what they are told. At the end of the day seeing is believing and as soon as I see something it I’ll give you a shout.

I agree Mike wholeheartedly but with the plans,photo`s etc of the changes to the commercial center he showed us and his body language led me to believe things will happen soon
As you say time will tell (hopefully sooner rather than later)

If the 16 commercial units are going to be up & running by mid summer '09, they had better get their skates on, judging by calidonas past record i for one think this isn't going to meet the deadline.
Lets hope it does

If it was the same one I spoke to in the summer, who told me they would start the build in October, you can’t miss her. She has a curly ginger wig, red nose, baggy pants, over sized coat with a plastic flower and big floppy shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason i ask is according to information from director level at Calidona no licence has yet been rec from town hall for either the hotel or commercial units.
If a member of the sales team is giving out false information then it needs to stop.

But Salesmen are Salesman...
If you are conversing at Director level maybe you can ask WHEN IS THE HOTEL/COMMERCIAL CENTER LIKELY TO START
As I am sure there are lots of folks who would like to know STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH why it has not happenned already
Or maybe can you let me know the Director's name and I will contact him myself to ask why

I have been told from director level an official statement will be made to all owners in the near future.
No licences have been granted so far so any optimistic quotes from the sales office should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Would i be right you cannot remember the persons name who gave you your info. ?

The same near future as quite a number of people have been told or Calidona's near future
Yes I do know the salemans name and he confirmed the Commercial center will start shortly without actually giving a date (which I still truly beleive)

Well said Wangy, your heart is in the right place but perhaps you should recognise that anyone who has time to put 257 posts on this forum needs to be left alone and while Roda's Big Daddy is writing to the directors of Calidona and annoying the sales staff as well as arranging the New Year's Eve dinner dance we are being spared.
