I understand that there is a festival in Vera on 25 September (not the 26th as posted!) - does anyone know, or can find out if the shops will be closed?
We are particularly interested in the home furnishing and accessory shops as we were planning to visit them on that Tuesday.

not only will the shops be closed ..........everything will be closed during la Festa de Vera (except the bars and resturantes) but only in Vera,,,Garrucha will be open .......don´t go shopping!!!! join in La Fiesta

Hi Wetone,
Can I be a pain? Would it be possible for you to give me a list of all the fiesta dates for the year, of when all shops will be closed.
Gracious(that and Ola is my limit in Spanish)ha.ha.
Speaking of Spanish, does anyone out there give Spanish lessons, for absolute beginners.

We have just returned and they are putting the lights up in Vera in readiness. We spoke to a very nice guy at the bull ring and he said the fiesta lasts 3 days ie September 22-24 inclusive - although not sure if this is just within the bull ring or the whole of the town.
