Hello all.
Having read Peninsulas post, there isn t a lot that can be added.
The information packs for all purchasers of Medina Golf, Suites, Fairways and Tee 17 will be sent out shortly by Royal Peninsula.
The staff in both companies are very, very helpful - Peninsula (+34 952 90 20 20) can answer any questions on the developments themselves, and Royal Peninsula can advise you on which is the best rental plan for your own needs and requirements (+34 952 76 8302).
During the building of the developments, purchasers may have changed phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses, and may not have thought about letting either the developer or ourselves know - I would suggest that you contact us and make sure we have your correct details.
Contact for Royal Peninsula: +34 952 76 8302. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 30pm local time. English, Spanish and French are spoken.
Contact for Peninsula Project Management: + 34 952 90 20 20.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or queries you may have.
Best regards
Margaret
Royal Peninsula.

I mnot sure how it will affect the other developments. As far as I am aware all the construction is on an "individual" basis.
Fairways seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds: when I was there just a few weeks ago it was a beehive of activity.
The delay on M23 will probably help Fairways to "catch up",

oh my, Margaret you really need to wake up. Peninsula are useless, fullstop. they do not communicate with us and have not done so for the last year even though they have a substantial part cost of our apartment. the staff at peninsula are not helpful they know nothing. they do not return calls or emails. your email posted in april states details will be sent out shortly ??? really that has proved to be either a lie on your behalf or more incompetence on peninsula's. at this stage i am feed up.
in my experience people dont return calls or emails because they dont want to tell you the truth. peninsula should be straight with people and tell them the reason for the delays. communicate updates on the building progress etc, apart from the flashy website peninsula have proved to a company run like a micky mouse operation and not a reputable developer.
they need to deal with their clients in a professional fashion and get their heads out of the sand.

Seagull: I cannot speak on Peninsulas behalf. I have posted our contact details many times for people to be able to contact us directly.
I am not privy to the day to day workings of the contruction or Peninsulas internal work ethic - I can only relate our experience of working with them and the exchange of information between the two companies has been fine so far.
A few of my staff were in site on Wednesday, meeting with clients from M23. All I can reiterate is what we see: the site is a hive of activitity. The report back on Fairways is that the external work is almost complete. Being the Management and rentals company, we are keeping our eye on it as it affects us too.
Mangement Information Packs have been sent out to clients of M23, Suites, and Medina Golf. The Fairways information Pack is scheduled to be emailled out towards the end of next week.
I have asked that clients contact us directly (it is impossible to know who is who with anonymous nicknames on the forum) so that we can ensure they are on our client list and therefore be able to update them directly.
Best regards
Margaret

We are buying on Tee l7,Margaret,when we will receive rental info please?
I am not aware of any delays....indeed,Peninsula have written to me saying this is on schedule.
Could Donefor explain what problems they are experiencing exactly....are there delays on the earlier projects beyond the normal ones you would expect from any off-plan deal?
What do Pensinsular have to say about Donefor's complaints, which are pretty strong?

Hello again Seagull.
Information packs on Tee 17 should be going out next week also.
As far as I am aware, the only delay is on Fairways. Having lived in Spain and worked with developers for many years, it is almost certain that there WILL be some delays - in this case it was due to underground installations of the national electricity grid - again I am not privy to Peninsula information regarding construction or anything like that.
Donefors comments have been passed on to Peninsula..they will either post themselves or perhaps come back to me - either way there should be an answer soon.
We do have (obviously) a close working relationship and I havent come across any problems - the reverse in fact. they ve always had the interests of the client at heart and put a lot of effort into doing the best they can.
Best regards
Margaret

I have a different approach to some of the delays described in this forum. While respecting the reasons that others might have to be concerned about such delays, I think that, given the state of the global economy and uncertainties in the housing market, the delays are a blessing in disguise.
I’m bullish about ME golf in respect of both its market and rental potential. I own two other properties in Spain (near Murcia) and, despite the apparent downturn, this year have experienced a significant increase in demand from holiday makers compared to previous years. I have no reason to think that ME will be any different.
I’m happy to wait for an extra few months and see where the market goes from here. Flight to quality is what many buyers tend to do when things get tough and I think this bodes well for ME.

Further to my recent posting. i would like to clarify. my problem with peninsula is this, i have had no contact from them regarding a medina golf apartment, deposit was paid close to 2 years ago, contracts signed soon after. i have received NO updates from peninsula regarding development. i have visited granada a few times since and have seen the progress made myself. completion we were told was due for september this year (as stated in the contract) . i contacted them recently as september is coming quickly, i was told there was a delay (first i heard about it) they were not able to tell me when the development would be complete, maybe january, but that they will let me know . i have tried via email and phone to contact them, especially after hearing now that the buider for medina golf has had to be replaced!. they have NOT returned my calls or emails todate. Disgraceful.
Margaretc responded to me, however it is peninsula who should be contacting me.
i respect jagudelo opinion, but my problem is with peninsula having taking a deposit, getting a contract signed and then feeling that they have done their job.
peope have to plan ahead and i had planned a number of things around the apartment being ready in september this year. to say i am annoyed is an understatement.

Dear Donefor,
I am very alarmed and concerned by your post and wish to address your comments as fully and as accurately as possible. In order to do so, I need to know who I am actually dealing with. Could you please let me have your full name and the unit in Medina Golf that you are purchasing, this will enable me to look at your client file and produce copies of correspondence that we have sent you. The reason for not wanting to facilitate this information, I can only assume, is because you are either not a client of Peninsula or you have an ulterior motive in trying to slurry our reputation and I hope that that this is not the case. All our written correspondence is sent to you via our customer service department (a department of six staff who have continuous, fluid and friendly contact with ALL our clients and are far from "useless" ) and is sent by registered post, this way we are able to track every letter that leaves our offices. On a more positive note, we are extremely pleased that you found our website impressive. We are very proud of the way both clients and agents are able to use the website as a tool in keeping up to date with developments and downloading the latest information, we have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone that has used it. If you do not already have your username and password in order to enter the client centre. please let me know and I will be more than happy to supply you with access.
Our company is honest, open and transparent and would be more than happy to use this forum as a way to rectify the inaccurate comments you have made.
** EDITED - Please respect terms of posting **

Dear Jool,
if you wish to send me a private message identifying yourself, i can only presume you work for peninsula, as you have not stated so in your email i may respond. i can assure you that i have better things to do with my time than making idle posts on this blog. my complaints reflect my experience and fustration.
with regard to the client centre i have a generic password, unless i am missing something ,there has been one picture on the 1st July 08 posted and that has been the only update since 21st January 08. hardly something to boast about.
thank you.

Dear Donefor,
My name is Sharon Hitchcock and I am the Sales and Marketing Director for Peninsula.
If you go into the client centre, you can see that there are photos updating clients of the progress in Medina Elvira every 3 months:- 21/01/08, 26/03/08 and the last update was 01/07/08.
As we have always promised, the client centre will be updated at least once every 3 months......which is exactly what we have done. Maybe in some peoples eyes nothing to boast about, but I am very proud that, as always, Peninsula delivers on its promises.
I would once again ask you to send me your details in order that I may adress your accusations. As I have also stated previously, Peninsula is and always has been completely transparent and I do not need to send I private message with my details. I am more than happy for the Forum to have my details and contact me at any time. I look forward to receiving your details.

Dear Jool,
I can appreciate the concerns raised by Donefor relating to Peninsula.
I paid my initial deposit on a unit on Tee 17 in December of last year. I only received the receipts for the transaction from Peninsula in May of this year (over 5 months to post a piece of paper). I have not had any correspondance from Peninsula relating to development updates, rental program etc.
As for obtaining a username and password for the Peninsula client centre to enable me to view the current progress of the development, I have never been informed of this service or received any log-on information!!
As my apartment is not due for completion until mid-late 2009, I have not been as concerned as some of the owners who are awaiting imminant completion, but what is disturbing is the reoccuring issues and lack of owners on this forum offering positive comments for Peninsula.

Dear Chartered,
Again, I would ask you to send me your details, full name and unit that you purchased and I will then look into your client file and respond to your concerns. Also, if you can send me your email details I can give you the correct username etc in order to enter our web page. I am at present preparing an updated newsletter with news of our show flat etc and this will be posted onto our website shortly , along wiht a recent article from the Sunday Telegraph regarding Granada.
I can assure you that we do our very utmost to keep in contact with all our clients. Apart from one or two comments (which I have yet to receive the persons details in order to investigate the issues) I am confident that the large majority of our clients are satisfied with the service and suppport that Peninsula are able to offer and feel that we are one, if not the best developer in Spain for not only this, but also our for our professionalism, quality and attention to detail.
Please send me your details as soon as possible and I will reply to you as soon as I have had chance to study your file. I have tried several times to put my contact details on the post...but they are edited out. You can find all our details and our UK freephone number on our website.
Sharon.

Hi,
I have been reading the latest postings expressing concerns about Peninsula's professionalism and I thought it fair to give a different point of view to some of the other experiences.
I bought two apartments in Tee 17 in May last year and have since exchanged contracts, made the first payment and I'm about to make the second one. I have always found staff at Peninsula very professional and all my queries have been replied to immediately by Laura Porta, who has always been available when I called or e-mailed her. I received receipts and bank guarantees within days of making payment and have always been satisfied with their customer care and have no reason to complain so far about any issues.
I would however like to receive more updates regarding rentals from Royal Peninsula. They have been promising to send the rental packages 'shortly' for the past 8 months but for some reason this is not happening. Margaret has been said to be marketing the development in the UK recently so I would also like to hear what the outcome of her business trip was and what we can expect regarding rentals.
