Graeme & Sherry,
Inside Right (IR)Espana are located in the Industrial Estate just over the dual carriageway from the village - not far from the Indian restaurant. They do full packages and individual pieces - all at far more reasonable prices than I've seen on the web. They also have contractors for light fitting and other works. I think they have a webiste - might be worth a look. The Polaris World Furniture Showroom is also near the village, visible from the motorway - expensive tho'!
There is of course IKEA in Murcia which, although cheap, can be a bit of a logistical nightmare - organising deliveries etc is not easy/straight forward, particularly if you do not speak Spanish.
In the Parque Mediterraneo near Cartagena there are a few good shops - Bo Concept is there as are Nido and Casa, the latter two for smaller items and soft furnishings only. Media Markt is there too for electrical goods. Leroy Merlin (the spanish B&Q) is aslo worth a visit.
The Nueva Condomina mall (near IKEA) in Murcia also has Zara Home, Primark, El Prat del Gato and a couple of other stores, again for the smaller things.
San Javier has a couple of good stores, La Oca and Batista, if you're looking to the luxury end of the market.
And of course, the major spanish supermarket chains (Carrefour, Eroski etc.) all carry furnishings/electricals.
I'm sure the other residents will have their favouirites too.
Have fun!!
