Sorry Kamil but that is not a bank guarantee. It does not state your name, or the amount of your deposit it guarantees, it does not state your passport numbers which it must.and it does not state an expiry date
You will need to get on to your solicitor straight away sorry its bad news kamil so many people have been caught out
Oh it should also state your plot no. etc and of course an AVAL No (registration number)

Hi,
Fortunately, I have not yet transferred the deposit. I gave SIS a condition that I require a bank guarantee set up in advance of forwarding the funds. They subsequently forwarded me the aforementioned document. I will contact them about this.
I really appreciate your advice - thanks,
Kamil

Hi Kamil,
befor paying your 30 percent deposit make sure that your solisitor has writen a refund clause into your contract with the developer.
This should state that if the build is delayed by over three months you will have a full refund if you wish to pull out.
As for an investmet, thanks to the new airport at Corva prices seem to have risen about 20 percent this year. When the development is up and running with something to show I still think prices will rise. If you have been given a completion date in spring 09, expect it to be at least one year late.
It does seem that from the post on this site it is more of a life style with people wanting to retire there, or spending a good deal of quality time in Santa Ana. but still nice to know that if you want to sell later ther will still be a profit in it.

How far has this development got to? thought everything was up and running and full steam ahead??
I am so pleased we went elsewhere? at least at the second attempt we have a property? had we gone there (as in SJ,Jumilla) we would be fighting again, considering we are still fighting for refund on Jumilla property?).

Why don't you read the forums Mags. You would then know exactly what the problem was.You may well regret going elsewhere. You won't find a better development than Santa Ana.

Hi there, it's nice to know than when completed we will be surounded by like minded people. Whit no Moaners & groaners it should be an Ideal place to live full time or part time.
My wife & i first checked this place out in Jan 07 we we told we would complete in May 09, but have CHECKED other sites along with this one (something called due diligence), we expect it to be ready by 2010.
Thats no problem as long as Santa Ana is developed into a quality development. I have faith in the developement, and from this forum so do a lot of others, so I expect to meet a lot of you in 2010.
Happy new year to the positive people.

I've finally taken the plunge and received my contracts.
Sorting out the FOREX now and should have paid my 30% by the end of Jan with completion due July 2010.
I'm glad to see that everyone is still up beat even though there has been delays but after visiting the site and Town in November it was a no brainer for me.
Dilema I have now is only a fiscal one as I have to decide on where to get the Euros - I've been told to steer clear of Banks as the rates are not good and the fees are ridiculous.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Toon army Fan for my sins.

Happy New Year to everyone buying at Santa Ana and hopefully everything will get going this year.
With regard to currency exchange I can recommend Currencies Direct or Moneycorp for transferring large sums (like deposits and final payments etc.)
If you just need some holiday spending, I would recommend the Kensington Money Exchange in London (www.kensingtonmoneyexchange.co.uk). You will get a very good exchange rate from them (better than the Post Office or banks). You can order online for any currency and they will send you the money the next day by special delivery. If you order over £500 worth there is no charge for postage but if you order under £500 there is a £5 charge as it costs them almost that much to send out. Their exchange rates are listed each day on their home page of the web site.
