Just back last week from CDS. To my mind things improve all the time. No sign of significant numbers of Woodlice (there were some but no more than you would see anywhere). Gardens are improving in most areas, gradual but a definite improvement with some signs that new planting beginning to take effect. Site is clean (other than where the builders lorries disperse dust but that will not be forever). Certainly looks tidy and neat compared to other areas I have visited.
The aparthotel is taking shape and I would guess the heavy work will probably finish over the next 3 to 6 months and we will be down to internal fitting out only. There is some earthmoving taking place from the site in the valley between ourselves and the sea but once again that can't last and at least means that work is underway.
CDS was very quiet with only a few properties occuppied but I would guess November is very much low season falling between the School hols in October and the Christmas break. Certainly I don't think we were alone in that as a number of the Restaurants locally had closed for the month.
Weather was brilliant with only a few clouds and temperatures in high 60s / low 70s. Glasgow was -3 at the same time so I know where I would rather be.
Golf courses locally were offering great prices (2 people with buggy for 100 euros).
The potential is definitely there for this to turn out OK. There is still a fair bit to do but on the positive side progress is being made and work is underway from our hard working committee members in the background to keep the momentum going.
