Does anyone else think it would be an idea to have some tables and chairs on the paved area outside the indoor pool and perhaps a coffee and/or soft drink machine or dispenser for users of the pools, tennis courts and gym? An issue might be loading the machines, handling money etc, but presumably the machine suppliers would service as long as there were sufficient sales. The development appears to be lacking a social focal point at present and the centre appears to have been designed with provision for this in mind. The area on the roof of the indoor centre also appears ideal for table tennis or similar children's games??

When we visited Thalassa for the first time at Easter last year, we were told that there would be a seating area in the upper part of the spa centre & that this would be a relaxation area where you woud be able to have a drink.

In theory, this could be a good idea. In practice, well, thats a different matter.

Until such time as the properties are all completed and people have taken possession , I would imagine that there would be insufficient numbers to use the machines which in turn would produce profit. Speaking from experience, the people who install and service such machines charge considerable sums of money for the lease/purchase agreements and also charge higher rates for the saleable goods in such machines. It would be difficult at this stage, to "police" such equipment, ie, emptying of monies every evening, not to mention goods from the machines as these could prove to be too much of a temptation to some undesirables!

Whilst I agree that the area is crying out for a refreshment zone of some sort, I feel that this issue should be addressed at a later date in the year once other more pressing matters are attended to.

Don't want to be a "kill-joy", as I think it could be a very good idea, just would like for the hygiene, lack of heat, cold sauna/pool, silly "foot washer", foaming jacuzzi, un-ventilated gym area, small, inadequate swimming pool..............etc., etc., to be sorted first!

Think a small rain forest will be in danger of being felled once everybody starts to write their questions down!!!

Note to Seasun House: PLEASE CAN WE HAVE OUR MEETING SOONER RATHER THAN LATER?

Lorraine

I agree that the problems need to be resolved first & not only those relating to the spa but those relating to snagging issues within the apartments, which I personaly think should take priority.

If you see my other post on here this evening, Luis at Seasun has indicated on or around 15th Feb for the community meeting & i think he was trying to say that we should hear for definite within the next week.

Sorry Noreen,

Hadn't seen  your other posting before I replied to this thread.

I agree, that personal property issues need to be given priority over all else. If people are not happy with the standard of after-sales service which KeyMare are currently offering, then it is imperative that they voice their objections to them as soon as possible.

It would appear that Seasun House are resisting taking over the management of the development until such time as we, the owners, are satisfied with the quality of build and KeyMare have endeavoured to correct the snagging in a professional manner.

Let us not forget that this is in our interests, and as such, Seasun House ARE looking after US. I think that at this stage of the game it would be foolhardy to talk of removing them as the "management". They, like ourselves, are trying to sort out a series of "teething troubles", some words of encouragement may not go amiss. After all, we all want what is best for our community!

Regards,

Lorraine Braid.

I absolutely agree that Seaun should be given an opportunity to work wih us. It may appear that they are not as efficient as they may be , simply because KM are still so heavily involved & basically Seasun have been working with one hand tied behind their backs.

It does also make sense that Seasun take over at a point where the majority of people are happy with their property.

As for Key Mare after-sales on snagging - nothing could be worse in my opinion. It is also a pity that they don't bother to answer emails.

I know that they have reduced their aftersales staff to 3 (I think) - how daft is it to do that, just when 500 odd properties are in the process of completion.

Does anyone have a contact email address for KM? I only have Gema's & so far she is not responding to an urgent emai sent on Tuesday (appreciate that Tuesday was a Bank Holiday).

Hope your flu is better Lorraine.

Thanks for the comments on the possibility of placing tables and chairs on the patio area outside the indoor pool. While I think it's important that everyone gets their problems sorted out, I don't think it would take many resources to obtain, say 4 tables and 16 chairs, and shouldn't detract from any ongoing snagging. I accept that we may have to wait until there are sufficient numbers before any vending facilities are viable, but I still think we should keep the possibility in mind.

I think it's important to enhance the Thalassa complex as a holiday and social centre for our own and others to enjoy. On recent posts many people have expressed this view rather than focussing on the negatives.
