Parking at Murcia Airport

Hi,

Firstly, can I say hello and congratulations to everybody who has successfully purchased and moved into their property at "La Hacienda Del Senorio De Cifuentes".  My name is Alan and as part of a seven member syndicate from Cheshire in the UK I am in the process of purchasing apartment (G2) in block 14 as an investment opportunity.  Due to a severe lack and breakdown of communication from our Spanish agent and solicitor, we have been forced to try and find out as much information as possible with regard to the purchase of our property and the current state of the development as a whole (thankfully this website being very helpful and informative indeed towards this). 

Frustratingly we are still yet to complete on our apartment (yes it's true), but are in the process of trying to arrange a suitable mortgage.  Firstly could anybody offer any help or advice on their experiences of trying to arrange a suitable mortgage over there in Spain please, could anybody offer names/ contacts of reputable brokers etc who have helped them in their buying process.

Secondly whilst I am on, could anybody offer any help or advice in the process of furnishing an apartment out there in Spain (La Hacienda Del Senorio De Cifuentes) please?  Has anybody used the much advertised "villapack" company, if so would you recommend them, what kind of job did they do for you?  As a total package to furnish a two bed, two bathroom from scratch what would you expect to pay, does 15,000 Euros sound a realistic figure?  Is there anybody who can recommend someone in the development who they have used?

Thank you very much for reading this letter, I hope that somebody can help us out with any much needed information, even the smallest piece of information from someone who has experienced first hand on any of my questions would be very much appreciated.

I live in the apartment above you, I am the only one in the building. I furnished mine by bringing some things over from the UK and the removals people brought a  lot of my things. Also there is a place close by selling second hand, I bought a few things there, the rest I bought new at various shops.  Much cheaper than the "packages" if you do it yourself. Mind you, as a full time resident I wanted things that suited me personally and things that I could live with rather than something chosen by a shop assistant. Also I have noticed that the apartments furnished by the package people all look the same - the furniture is all the same and the pictures on the walls are all the same in all those apartments. Yuk.

My name is Linda Kearney, we bought penthouse in block 15, and furnished it last summer, we used the furniture company close by on the motorway, called Furniture Express, we found them to be very professional and delivered and fit everything we bought the very next day, and they are english owned.  actually i see they are advertising here on the site so they are probably very popular, we just found them driving around last year.

we will be over in spain definately for the month of July, and probably on and off May and June too.

How much was the furnature pack, and what is the lead time from order....?

The shop that Linda mentioned is really excellent, they are close by and have furnished quite a few of the apartments here. I have bought quite a bit from them myself. They sometimes deliver the same day but in any case the next day. They seem to have everything on site so there is no waiting.
