I love the name Tom.
I like the connotations with the areas past and it's semi rural setting. It also it helps distance the development from the problems we've had with the previous developers.
We shall just have to see what the council, or whoever is responsible for naming the development, decides.
In our Labour controlled area we have newly named: Stormont Close, Shunters Drift,Colliers Trek, Clay Pit Lane etc., containing houses valued around the £300K mark. We already had streets named after Bevan, Atlee ,Shimwell etc,. Yes, we are also in a (now defunct) coal mining area but the houses were built on farmland!!
The re-claimed colliery land is now levelled and awaiting development for light industry. Why not name the roads there after the areas historic past??
It doesn't make sense.
Hope you enjoyed Thailand.
