Hi all,

We were on the site on 24th and 26th March. We saw the Palm trees started to be planted on the 24th and they were all in around the pool area when we visited on the 26th. I have posted photo's today 27th March in Spain and will post more when we get back next week.

Good luck on your trip ferryman, the landscaping of the pool area will be well advanced when you visit.

Regards,

raileng

Hi Raileng,

The photos look great - we can see our apartment behind one of the palm trees overlooking the pool.

Did you hear anything about completion date and also about issues such as the developer's mortgage?

Hi all,

We got back home on Saturday 29th March so I have uploaded some more photo's.

The first set of 6 show one photo view over Iznalloz from TH4 looking at the snow covered Sierra De Huetor. We were lucky to see snow on this mountain range at Easter. I have also uploaded a second set of photo's that show the kitchen and bathroom of the 2 bed townhouse for those interested. The last set of photo's are a selection of the Sierra Nevada ski resort. There was still plenty of snow for skiing at this time of year.

We checked some travel times and it is approx 10 Min's to the nearby golf course and water sports lake, 1 hour to Sierra Nevada resort and just over 1 hour to the Costa Tropical resorts. I noted the motorway extension to the Costa Tropical is almost complete and I would expect the time would reduce to approx 45-50 Min's.

Woody, the temperature was in the 60s and re the date for completion, September is still suggested. We did note the landscaping prepared in the area between the Mirador and Balcones development and we understand that a second swim pool may be considered for the next phase of the Balcones development.

Re furniture, we stopped at a furniture warehouse adjacent to the petrol station on the road leading to the motorway from Iznalloz. It's worth having a look and they have a small brochure of the furniture they provide etc. Eli can advise you where it is etc. We still have not decided where to get our furniture from although we do like some of the furniture express furniture.

The villa we stayed in had built in wardrobes that are of a type that would be suitable for the Balcones development, I forgot to take photo's, so I will get my relatives in Spain to take some for me as they live in the same type of villa and look after the one we stayed at. I will email these to Eli and enquire if these or similar could be built and at what cost.

Hello everyone

Really excited to see how the site is progressing and thanks for so much info.

We have had a costing from Villapac everything included and wardrobes for both bedrooms  for £5,800, not signed anything yet though.  Did look on the wesite of the furniture  warehouse, but prefered the furniture at Villapac, its just personal choice.

We might try to get over in June, but not sure yet.

Best wishes

Viv and Jeff

Hi all,

The Furniture warehouse we went to at Iznalloz has a web site www.marbellamuebles.es if you are interested. Also we looked in at Ikea near to Malaga airport and their web site is www.IKEA.es .

Hi everybody,

We hope to be visiting the site on the 17th of April. If anyone wishes photos of certain areas of Balcones, or the village, we'll try and oblige. Is anyone moving out to live there permanently? It would be good to have a contact for checking apartments/houses.

Raileng, thanks, once again, for posting photos. I was getting withdrawal symptoms as there were no photos for a while. We'll also look at the furniture websites you and Woodycurtain have mentioned.

Cheers,

Ferryman

Thanks for the offer of photos.

Would be interested in seeing the progress of the commercial centre and also the progress on the adjoining town house develpment.

We will be out again the fist week in June so should see some real progress on the landscaping by then.

Thanks,

Jayne & Roger
