Hi
We visited Roda last week-end to look at furnishing our apartment in phase 3B - we heard from a key-holder there that the air conditioning installed by Roda is not very effective.......has anyone had any problems with it? We'd be interested in any comments, positive or negative, so that we can decide where to buy from.
Thanks
Viv

Hi vivi
Our aircon was installed by Roda and it is first class. We completed last july and have used it throughout the summer . It cost more to be installed but we thought if anything goes wrong then they are on hand.(hopefully).

The units that RODA fitted in phases 1, 2 were very good quality inverter units

Hi Viv,
We also had aircon installed by Roda we were there during the Easter break and at first the aircan/heating was not working. Two engineer's turned up to fix it, they were there for about 1hour and said it was working. The problem is that when we swich on the heat it takes about 20 min to start heating. We paid for the more expensive unit but if the cool air takes as long to work then we are not impressed. At some time we will ask an independant engineer to have a look at it, we are in 3A.

We had the Roda air conditioning installed in our apartment as well, reasoning that it would be easy to have anything fixed as the engineers are regularly on site. Thankfully we have not needed anyone yet but will get it serviced in the next month or so before the weather heats up out there.
We were advised by a few people who live in Roda full time not to use the air conditioning for heat as it takes a wee while to heat up and of course it is much more expensive than the radiators which heat up very quickly, are most effective and cost a lot less to run. (I prefer the central heating as it cuts down on dusting too!)

Hi,
I had my aircon installed by a local comapny having first had quotes from more than one company. So if you feel brave approach a Spanish installer as they are just as efficient and can be more cost effective.
Go on be brave it will also help improve your Spanish!!
