A PM has asked .....
would you be interested in setting up a ACC
owners club in the UK........we could all meet in a central city poss B.ham
and swap information and help each other get our money back through
a joint action with a top uk lawyer
.............................
As far as I understand if you go to court in Murcia - you must be represented by a lawyer from Murcia. Even if you are Spanish and outside of Murcia - you cannot be a legal representative in a Murcia court.
I am told by my own UK solicitor that most of the Spanish law firms are very small compared to the Uk equivalents and so lack resources and expertise to take on complex claims against tricky large organisations. I don not know if that is true - but if it is maybe we are not getting the best advice. Would a top UK lawyer specialising in Spain at least give better advice? can we trust Spaniards?
I do not know?
I think maybe we ought to think about a joint action against the agents. Parador are the biggest and high profile - (and I used them). Should we take a test case for compensation against mis-selling - after all ACC was illegal. If we share costs - it may be affordable.
I paid my reservation fee to Parador Spain by credit card - but I wonder if I could go to the small claims court first to test where we are in UK law.
Does a large number of people wish to meet - please post to forum or send me a PM.
Certainly all has stalled badly in 2008 and Huma are telling all that want refunds to do it thru court - so there is no other way forward now!
