At 6-ish last night Eva (who looks after the free accomodation for those whose original completion date has passed) assured me in an email that the accomodation still stands "for the momment" as this affects my parents. I then went to let them know of the situation & when I arrived, 10 mins later suprise, suprise Yoanna (SJ legal) was on the phone to Mum telling her that SJ was now in court administration. She also advised that the court administrator will protect their money (probably along with the Easter Bunny) & that they could either have their money back in full or continue with Jumilla with the new builders (who I do not know, but probably a guy called Bob). Anyway Yoanna has agreed to meet with Mum & Dad next week when they get back to Spain, if that meeting takes place I will update this site.
Mum then called their neighbours in Spain who told her that 2 banks had stepped in to take over at SJ - apparently it is quite common to have banks being the main investors in housing.
I have received an out of office reply from Eva today saying that she is on holiday until 21 May.
My cynical side would not be suprised to see the new builders (if they exist) comprising of a similar board to SJ & them offering us our properties at a much delayed date, obviously with no compensation as it is not their fault.
Personnally I think the Jumilla dream is dead & will be joining the group action.
