Hi All

I have just been reading the latest email from Justin Aldridge (EOS) about the Builder San Jose this week applying voluntarily, for court protection against it's creditors this meaning that all those buying property from them who have paid deposits, now become added to the list of creditors.

Purely out of support for its EOS members who are affected by this EOS have arranged a group meeting for those involved with UK law firm Irwin Mitchell to be held in Birmingham. This action by Justin and EOS is far in excess of anything they could be expected to do for its members but is typical of him and his team and the way they run the web site THANK YOU Justin and your team for supporting your members so well and making us all part of the EOS Family.

This certainly puts our problems into perspective.

I would just like to say to those involved in this problem with San Jose good look and I hope all goes well for you.

Regards

Phil & Ann

I know them well, this is the development we nearly bought on before Condado as a few of you will have seen from an earlier posting on the Utilities thread

......."We bought in Nov 06 and at the time originally went to view properties in Jumilla, a San Jose development, never even thought about Polaris, viewed the properties up there, they had show houses ready and the spec seemed good, my only concern was the distance in land from the airport. Our agent then showed me Polaris on the Sunday morning. We were sat on the terrace having a coffee at La Torre and thought that this was for us.

Since then the Jumilla development has never been built with them having hassle getting the building permits. There are also strong rumours that the company has gone into liquidation. Could have cost us 30-40,000€. How much would we have got through our bank guarantee? who knows, thats assuming we'd have got one." ......

We had a lucky escape by the sounds of things, but know people who have invested many thousands of pounds. That is why I'm fairly relaxed about the way our development is going although I do understand the frustrations for alot of you have. Just trying to always keep a positive aspect on things.
