July's issue of the 'A Place in the Sun' has a good article about inspection trips but focusses on some Polaris World developments viewed during the visit. Polaris dont come out of it badly and neither do the Polaris World resorts. Lots of prices for various properties are quoted and positive comments about there being no hard sell by the agents.
In one paragraph in particular the author is very upbeat:-
" Polaris world is a revelation. I found the adverts with Jack Nicklaus a bit cheesy but the resort is five star, with each 'village' beautifully landscaped around a silky smooth golf course. It also feels very Spanish'
He also says
"And this is the value of an inspection trip. If Polaris world was horrible I'd have spotted it, just as I could see that some other developments we pass are a bit rough.'
The author enjoyed the Mar Menor resort and Hotel, talks about visiting the 'sophisticted' HQ and the Polaris world beach club and the photo's look like La Torre.
Not sure they have all their facts right about the individual resorts because 1 photo is identified as Corijos De Alhama which isnt built yet! But it looks good in the photo!! I expect they meant Condado.
Also wanted to add that there's a short piece in the article about buying now in Spain some properties being offered at a 30% discount because 'buyers can't complete' and British owners benefiting from the strong euro "'so I can offer a much lower price and they are still making a profit on what they paid. Who says now is a bad time to buy in Spain" Whether thats good news for people who have bought on Condado purely to sell on quickly is debateable but it may encourage continued interest..
