Yes, Roberto, this has been asked before - I'd really like this too!
So how about this, Justin. What if you include an option in the PM box to cc yourself when sending a PM? That way, you can send yourself a copy of the PM, if you want to keep details of your message. But only make it an option to cc yourself, not anyone else.
What do you think???

I think there should be a picture gallery of all the lovely memebers( if it hasnt been done already i am new so havent looked around the whole site yet) it would be great to put a face to some of the names!!!!

It fell by the wayside, as I think everyone got a little shy of showing their true selves.
But, for those voyeurs out there, maybe you could but your true photo as your avatar???

From my observations you have a popular Forum and many people who come to the site are serious about looking for properties in Spain
Others just want a 'Chit Chat' and it would appear that some members take part in the 'Chit Chat' to build up confidence in other members so that they will eventually do business with them [ see Georgia post]
Without changing the 'chit chat' or Ex Pats exchanging info and experience if you had a 'Thread' dedicated to ' Spanish Properties for Sale /investment/or to buy' similar to other Forums then you would provide an 'open property forum' and extend your service
As the other's do you have to state that it is a 'commercial thread'
Clearly you would have to edit/delete any indirect or direct marketing on the other threads...as takes place on other Forums you compete with
Being 'up front' I would like this and hope to benefit but also so would menbers looking for their Home in Spain This message was last edited by rowlandsbb on 4/19/2007.

Sorry I've bumped this up again, but didn't know whether you had seen it Justin!
What do you think about having the option (or making it automatic even) of copying yourself on a PM you're sending to someone? That way (without too much hassle for you, I believe) us people moaning about not having a copies of PMs sent to other members will be so, soooo appreciative!!

Justin, fantastic that you've categorised all the threads like this!!
Can I suggest that, maybe, you just put the category headings on the home page (general discussions, buying property, etc.), as opposed to the headings and the threads therein? I think it would be much more "user friendly". That way people can click on the category that they believe their subject may be in, without having to scroll through all the other categories and threads?!?!
Just a suggestion!

There is a search facility. Top of the the thread page, right hand side (does still need a little tweeking though!).
Although, Justin, it appears to have gone astray on the general Message Boards page!! Where have you put it!?? It seems to be on the threads pages.This message was last edited by Pitby on 5/15/2007.

Excellent the way you have put threads into categories Justin!
This will stop one subject beuing "top of the list".
Also it will encourage people to contribute to serious threads that have become "buried" amongst the general chit chat.

Pitby, thanks for your comments. We are actually heading the way you have suggested but we are doing it in stages so as not to have to switch everything off whilst we work on them.
The search facility is now on the right of the blue navigation bar at the top. It has to go there as we will be adding to the naviagtion bar. And yes, the search facility needs to be improved....we're on it.

Justin, what a fantastic job you've done with EOS and we know you have loads to deal with on the site and are constantly being nagged - so I'll just add to that for you!
When do you think we'll be able to:
1. "copy" ourselves on PMs sent to other members on the site (so we have a record of what we've sent); and
2. delete development threads that we are no longer interested in or have duplicated (like I have four Duquesa Villages, one added today when I couldn't access the members' login and thought I'd try another way to get onto the boards!! Can't remember how I got the other two redundant links!).
So, in between cleaning up threads, answering all PMs, introducing new layouts, welcoming new members, mowing the lawn, cleaning the car, putting up the shelves in the garage ......
Bet you're glad the weekend's coming up!! (Well, it is for us here!!)

Hi Justin,
Threre must be some way that the large percentage of people sellin property can use some of the agents on here that regulary contribute to help move their property for them.
I know it is a difficult subject and hard to control but there must be some way of us helping each other.
If you set hard and fast rules and do not allow people to push other products it should be ok.
If the agents only post i have someone looking for............maybe people selling could answer if they fit the requirements,i dunno,maybe you can think of a way it can be regulated.
Just a thought
