Cain, Winston and Skyler have the opportunity to go to Holland to new homes.
Friday, April 25, 2014
Cain, Winston and Skyler have the opportunity to go to Holland to new homes. They are not chipped or passported yet.
The pot is empty & it costs 45 euros for each pup to be chipped and passported.
Can I ask all you lovely people if you would donate just a few euros so this story of Missy and her puppies has a perfect ending please?

Luke has a furever home to go to
Wednesday, April 23, 2014
Luke is going to be adopted by a friend of Angie's. This friend rescued a puppy .. Tuco .. from Angie two years ago. He is only 10 minutes away from her, and was looking for a companion for Tuco. They all met up a couple of days ago and it all went fantastically well.
Luke will be joining his new family on June 10th, but .. in the meantime .. his new owner, Richard, will go and pick Luke up, take him for walks with Tuco, take him to his house, and start with the training, so Luke is eased in gently .. it's perfect.
Richard, is calling him Luka, meaning 'light'.

HUGE achievements for Missy & other updates, don't miss these
Tuesday, April 22, 2014
22nd April
Angie's son & partner have been staying over Easter with Angie & her husband, Phil. Not only did Missy accept Angie's son & his partner, she's now also accepted Phil. Amazing work Angie, truly heart rendering.
Angie says "This is amazing!! This is the first time Phil has touched Missy!!! She didn't bolt the course either!"
Angie says
"My son .. sitting THIS close to Missy..I know it might not seem like much, but it's massive to us".
Below: Missy making huge strides in socialising with Angie's son's partner.
20th April
Below: Poppet, yet another rescued puppy recently adopted by Angie & Phil, making the most of the drinking bowl, so funny!
All of Missy's pups have foster homes! Skyler and Rosie will be going to one lady, hopefully next week, and Winston, Cain, and Scout are going into foster through a lady who organized Nelsons adoption. (Nelson was another of Missy's puppies). This lady has connections with a rescue in Holland who will find them good homes after home checks are done. We all hope they will all find perfect homes soon.

More from Missy and her puppies
Friday, April 18, 2014
15/4
From Angie
"Missy continues to gain confidence with my husband, Phil. She still barks at him when they are in the garden but its more like a "talk" now rather than a defensive bark.
A few minutes ago, while Phil was outside, she slunk over to his sofa, had a good sniff, then slowly climbed up, and lay in his place!!! Thats the first time she has done that! She was stretching her neck to see if he was going to come in, and of course, the minute he did she scarpered.
Earlier this morning, while he was crouched down doing some work outside, she crept up behind him,( very elongated body) and her nose touched his back lol.
Slowly slowly, in her own time.. One day I will post a pic on here with her laying next to Phil instead of me. Watch this space".

From Angie
"Missy and pups enjoying the garden. You can see how big they are here, especially Winston and Cain. I need to find them homes. Living in a pen at 3 months old is no good. They need a home environment and to be house trained".

Lola turns a corner
Tuesday, April 15, 2014
From Angie
"Lola has turned a corner!!
Last night she took a feed with no screaming in agony and writhing about. She settled down and went all night without a murmur. I took her to the vets this morning for another anti inflammatory jab, and he was really pleased with her.
She also had to have warm soapy water squirted up her bum as she was constipated. I have to take her back tomorrow for another jab, but I'm hoping it will be the last one.
So after 3 days and nights of touch and go, and no sleep and lots of tears, it's finally paid off, it looks like she's going to be ok. Thank you everybody for all your lovely comments, prayers and get well wishes...somebody heard you. XXX"

Lola is critical, your prayers are welcomed
Monday, April 14, 2014
13th April
News from Angie.
"Lola continues to fight. She is still very poorly, not feeding much so I'm now syringe feeding small amounts to keep her hydrated. She screams a lot when awake as if in pain.
Tomorrow morning I will take her back to the vet to see if anymore can be done. The milk is in her left lung, and normally the prognosis isn't good, but while she continues to fight, then I will do all I can for her."
14th April lunchtime update on Lola.
From Angie
"Well, Lola made it through another night. Yesterday was terrible, I thought she was going to die. She was gasping for breath and obviously in a lot of pain.
I took her to the vets this morning where she had another anti inflammatory jab and an antibiotic jab. She wants to drink even though it gives her a lot of pain afterwards, so it's little and often.
The vet told me this morning that normally pups of this age don't survive this but we can only try. She wants to live. I was originally going to call her a different name, but Lola, means "strong", and she's giving it all she's got, bless her.
She is resting now as the anti inflammatory acts also as a pain killer. I have to take her to the vets every morning for repeat jabs, for a week.
Keep your prayers coming. I dont want to lose her now.
Missy has slept out in the conservatory with the other big dogs for a couple of nights, no problems. Her pups are doing ok although they still take tablets for diarrhea."
Don't forget the pups are up for adoption.

Updates: good news & sad news
Saturday, April 12, 2014
11th April
Poppet (was called Faith) had a forever home arranged but it fell through.
Angie & her husband, Phil, have decided to keep her & rename herr so she joins their other 11 adopted rescued dogs at Casa McCready.
Below: Missy goes a little bit closer to Phil.
12th April
on Baby Mastine
She's 6 days old & has had Angie awake every 2 hours for the past 2 nights, but goes 4 hours during the day!!
12th April (evening).
Prayers please for the Mastine puppy who Angie has named Lola, She has inhaled milk into her lungs and is very poorly. The vet gave her 2 injections this morning, so now we can only hope she recovers. Angie has done everything possible to try and alleviate Lola's suffering that the vet suggested.
Sad news also that Lola's mum died this morning following complications after giving birth to 11 puppies.

11/4
Below: Rosie is one of the smallest of Missy's litter. She's very gentle and loving & loves a cuddle. She's now 9 weeks old & has had all her vaccinations.
Below: Cain is mischievous, he's always game for anything. He's very full of life and fun & loves a cuddle. He's had all his vaccination & is 9 weeks old.
Below: Winston is the most beautiful of puppies although he is the wimp of the litter. He loves to have a cuddle. He has had all his vaccinations & 9 weeks old.
Below: Scout is such a soft natured little girl. Whilst the rest are running round the garden she just wants you to hold her and give her kisses. She has had all her vacs, and now 9 weeks old.
Below: Skyler is Missy's favourite, not sure why. She is full of energy but also loves to be fussed. She has had all her vaccinations and is 9 weeks old.
Below: Libby, gentle, soft natured, lovable, and very obedient. She is just a dream. She has been with Angie since she was about 3 weeks old & is now 9 months. She has been spayed. Although Libby has tested positive for Leish, it's barely borderline, but will need 2 pills a day so she can live a healthy normal long life. She is very special, and will make somebody a wonderful companion. Libby is microchipped & has her passport.
Below: Ringo was rescued from a terrible pound at just 3 months old. He is a very loving little man, and good as gold. He is very obedient, house trained, and loves nothing more than to lie next to you and be fussed. He is about 6 months old now, he has been castrated & has had all his vaccinations, he just needs a home. Ringo has his passport.
Below: Luke is a big soft laid back baby boy. He has been castrated, had all his vacs and is now around 9 months old. Luke loves to be loved, along with his sister Libby. Luke is microchipped & has his passport.
NOTE: Missy's puppies cannot leave Spain till they're 4 months old.
Please email Angie McCready, who is fostering all the above, for anything you need to know regarding giving one (or more) a loving home. Thanks!

Toto...the runt of Missy's pups .. had his first vaccine today and a new collar, if rather large for him.
He's doing really well.

Faith, Angie's latest foster puppy, arrived at Angie's last night. She has a forever home to go to, pending a home check.
Below: Libby is so gentle with Faith.
Angie said "I took Faith for her Rabies jab this evening and came back home with a 4 day old Mastine puppy to bottle feed!! The mother gave birth to 11 pups four days ago, and this morning had complications and had to have an emergency operation. She is very ill and can't feed the pups. The vet has managed to find foster homes for 6 of them, and I have taken one"

Missy has been spayed today & her pups vaccinated
Monday, April 7, 2014
From Angie 7/4
"Today Missy was spayed. I had to sedate her at 9am so the vet could collect her at 10,30. She was still trying to run round when he got here, but we managed to get her into the box and off she went.
The vet brought her back about 3:30pm, still quite sedated, and now she's resting with a blanket over her as she feels quite chilled. While the vet was here, he vaccinated the 5 pups to save me taking them to the clinic. Such nice people.
Missy's chip will now be changed into my name."

Missy's doing better.

More from Missy & her family & news of Dino
Friday, April 4, 2014
Please read about Dino here then continue reading this blog post.
Dino is allergic to lots of pollens, grasses, house dust mite, fleas and ticks. Angie has tried so many treatments. He is currently on a course of vaccines (expensive)!from a dermatologist in Alicante. His condition seems to be worse now than before she started with the vaccines. The vet has said it could take up to a year before any improvements are seen.
Angie has shaved Dino so she can see where the worst bits are and it enables her to get the (expensive) shampoo directly onto his skin.
Dino is 40 kg & also has to have one Comfortis tablet every month as Angie can't use flea spray or spot on due to his allergies. She has just bought ONE from the vet @ 16 euros per tablet!!! (Expensive). It's 1,620mg dosage he needs.
Meanwhile, poor Dino continues to suffer, bless his heart. He is the most gentle big dog ever.
Perhaps you can help towards funding Dino's treatment by clicking this link. http://www.gofundme.com/6oglok
If you prefer to help by donating via Paypal that would be really kind, thank you.

Vets bill is mounting, please help us.
Tuesday, April 1, 2014
From Angie
"I took the pups for the 2nd vaccination this morning. They didn't have them! I've been struggling to cure them of diahorrea. The usual things like chicken and rice, Flagyl, etc isnt working. They produced copious amounts of the stuff at the vets and devoured it quicker than we could clean it up! lol
So now, back to basics AGAIN. I have wormed them all again this morning, and now we have to wait and see what happens. Also the vet suggested they have 1ml of Anima Strath twice a day to boost them up as they are growing so fast and must be lacking in nutrients with having the trots for about a week now.
On Monday the vet will come here to vaccinate the pups and take Missy back with him to be spayed. I've got sedatives to give her an hour before he comes, and I've asked him to make sure she is still sedated when I collect her after the op.
Today's bill came to around 60 euros as he gave them all a thorough check up, A sack of puppy food was 25 euros, Anima Strath was 20 euros, Worming pills (I forget how much they were) and we still have the last vaccinations then the chips, passports, and Missy's sterilization to pay for.
If anybody would like to make a small donation towards the vets bill, it would be very appreciated...... angie_mccready@hotmail.com
Thank you xx"
