From Viv, President of ACTIN-SPAIN
"Please note that Actin association is not set up as a rescue charity, we have no shelter for the animals, or shop as a source of income - our only income is reliant on the good people who donate to us, who believe in what we are trying to do.
We have rescued many dogs and will continue to do so when in a position and if the animals are in immediate danger.
I personally rescue dogs because it's close to my heart and I cannot bear to see suffering but always at a cost of stress and worry about what to do with the rescued dogs.
As most know I have to run a business to survive too
We have no space or funds at the moment. We will try to rescue any animal in immediate danger, of cruelty or death in the local area, but we do need sponsors for those.
Please do look at our website http://www.actin-spain.com and see why Actin is set up and what we are trying to achieve.
We have chosen the hardest and most complex job in fighting cruelty, as it is a very grey area in Spain but we do have plans, goals and work extremely hard behind the scenes. We are constantly learning and eventually we hope will make a difference but we do need a lot of support and part of that support is that people need to share the load, as there are many abandoned dogs in the area I live.
We are always willing to advise and share and do anything we can but we are not able to do the impossible...thank you for listening and I hope people understand.
Urgent message and request :- Actin is currently unable to take on anymore animals, these puppies are in immediate danger and we urgently need somewhere for them. We will be responsible for their adoptions and will try to raise funds to help them...if anyone can donate to Actin for the care and future of the pups we will be very grateful, the PayPal address is admin@actin-spain.com or, if someone can offer temporary respite to get them safe (Cartegena area), please contact admin@actin-spain.com
The pups Mum is not in immediate danger and is used to her situation, but we will be getting her sterilised and other dogs with the same owner. We have had an offer of donation to get this done....so now pups are priority...."
