Hi All,

I have just posted the latest pics of Jardines 9.

We stayed at La Torre and went across to Condado on  the Monday and Wednesday last week and as you can see from the pics it certainly does rain and thunder and get very black.

Hopefully everyone can still see how our garden is progressing.

I spoke to the snagging people and was told they are trying to get all the snagging done on the completions before the August shutdown.

I spoke to an electrician on site and was also told that there is no way any utilities will be connected during August so if its not connected this month its September at the very earliest.

I did not see any sign of utilities being connected so far on any of the gardens.

Phil

Phil

I was out Thurs - Sun - weather was much better then.   We completed as per plan on Fri.  Asked to be connected to builders utilities for early Aug and the PW reps said no problem...

We walked around all of the Jardines yesterday. Noticed a fair few apartments (perhaps 10 -20) are already furnished and there were quite a few familiies in them and using them - electric on etc. Seemed to mostly be Spainards.

Also bumped into an English couple who were on Builders utilities and had been living there for the past week or so.

PW seem very effiecient in all they do.  We snagged Thurs afternoon, and went back to the apartement on Fri afternoon - to find the snaggers already in, and probably 1/2 way through the list - less than 24 hours later.

Overall, PW seem very effiicient, and are obviously pulling a few strings with other companies and departments.  It wouldn't surprise me if they contibued to the uiltiity company in some way to speed up the connection - especially in August.  Obviously, PW will be footing the bill for power and water until the meters are connected so it's in their interest to get it through as quick as poss.

We took some photos of the Sports facilities as well- will post them up in the next day or so

Cheers
Russ

Sorry Jan & Mike,

I had intended to walk around and take loads of pics but the weather on both days was so aweful and the thunder and lightning accompanied by very heavy rain stopped that in its tracks.
I can tell you that all the gardens I saw looked great and once they mature a bit will be even better.

Regarding the purple flower things I think PW have run out,( more likely never intended to put in any) because I didn't see any in the gardens other than the original show apartment garden (13?)

Dont worry, just good to get a glimpse and I like seeing how all the Jardines are coming on.

I think the plants are bourganvillia- really pretty though not sure I've spelt that right. I'd hoped they were going to plant them throughout as they add such a good splash of colour. I wonder how 1st floor apartments can keep any pot plants alive. Do the irrigation systems work on timers, I suppose they do. But can you leave them untended for weeks on end? Maybe we'll have to go for cacti!

Phil,
Again thanks for the pictures of garden 9 especially the one's of our apartment (943) and the view from our terrace.  You've stood on my terrace before me, next time you will have a san miguel in your hand.
