I am just back from a visit to Corvera and I asked about the sale of the remaining 600 units, Calidona aren't actively pushing these at the moment due to the current climate, while they are still for sale they aren't being promoted to the same extent, Pablo reckons that when the golf course is laid it will be a much easier sell as it is easier for people to imagine what the finished article might be when they aren't looking at a dust bowl. They are not concerned about the slow-down and are happy to wait until things improve. I came away from my visit feeling very positive and cannot wait to get over again. I'll post my photos tomorrow.

When we visited Corvera a couple of days ago we noticed that the positioning posts for greens,bunkers and tees had all been layed out (at least as far as was possible to see). These were colour coded and showed that matters are definately in hand as far as the course goes.

Just out of curiosity - wasn't the course meant to be designed by Dave Thomas and not Jose Maria Olazabal? DT was responsible for Roda and Belfry courses which the De Vere Group are naturally committed to - so why not Corvera as was mentioned in the initial marketing information released by Calidona.
Is Sam Torrence (OBE) still the club captain? No mention of his name in the new marketing of Roda or Corvera.

I've just checked back on the original brochure we were given 3 years ago and it definitely states that the course is being designed by Jose Maria Olazabal - and that's what we've always from agents and from the Corvera staff.

Thanks for that - I couldn't remember exactly and I've thrown my original brochure away. However lots of agencies are selling it under the "Dave Thomas" designed label. - Russ
